The #bushfireblocks that I received this week...
On Thursday, a package arrived from Dawn @ Quilting by Dawn. She only contacted me FIVE DAYS ago and THREE blocks are already in my hot little hands. Kudos to Dawn for being a woman on a mission!!!
Dawn's Modern Tree used some of her lightest and brightest scraps in this fun and funky design:
One last block appears to be a variation on the Simple Tree block:
Here's a look at the small stand of trees contributed:
Thank you, Dawn, for being the first blogger to mail blocks!
Also received this week are FOUR blocks from the Cherry Creek Lane Quilters Bee:
Along with EIGHT blocks constructed by the Nimble Thimbles Quilt Bee at yesterday's SECU Family House Sew Day:
Thank you SEW much to my lovely local quilting friends!
Have another look at the variety of blocks they made:
Gayle created this original eucalyptus branch block to send off:
Thank you to Jean, Candy, and Ruth S. for their financial contributions, as well. That will surely ease the burden of mailing costs to Australia.
Here's the GOOD NEWS!!
The good news is that YOU still have time to get in on my block collection!! As long as your blocks arrive to 27278 zip code by Friday, February 28th, I will be able to save you the international shipping by including them in my package to Australia.
Come on! You KNOW you want to help! (All blocks received will be featured in an upcoming post here on The Joyful Quilter.)
Until next time...
Sew Some Love!!!
