The Guest Blogger(s) - No. 14 - Connie Quilts RED

Welcome to another edition of The Guest Blogger(s)!!  I was wondering if I would hear from Connie.  This afternoon, she chimed in with new of her May 2021 TABLE SCRAPS Challenge.

Here's what she had to say...

The May link up has been terrific. I've enjoyed seeing the wide variety of projects from the mug rugs to the large table runners and toppers. All of the different ways that red has been used was amazing!

My stash is very short on red. As a result, I didn't have much red in my scraps piles, boxes and bags. I found inspiration this month from machine embroidery designs that had been purchased years ago at Embroidery Library:

These four placemats will be donated to the local senior center. And, they will be the start of using more red in future projects:

Many new blocks and quilt projects are swirling around in my brain. I am trying to finish two old, old UFO'S. The red inspirations could become competition for them. Of course, the new purple RSC is also on my mind.

  2. Connie, you've met the challenge well. Challenges are supposed to challenge you and you searched and came up with a lovely solution despite your lack of red scraps. Onward to purple.
