ScrapHappy Saturday - RSC21 - Week 18

Welcome to Week 18 of the Rainbow Scrap Challenge!!  This week the RSC Quilters are finishing up with their Bright and/or Light BLUE scrappy projects.  What comes next??  I'm wondering that, too.

SUNDAY - This week's edition of Sew Some Love Sunday can be found HERE.  I had a different sort of donation quilt to share.

This afternoon, I quilted my next donation, details in an upcoming LWR post.  Please note the Light and Bright BLUE for the April Rainbow Scrap Challenge:

I also squared up a few more blocks for my H2H donation, only 6 more and I can start the layout process:

MONDAY - I spent the morning doing paperwork and then I spent some time with Karen @ Just Get It Done Quilts.  In yesterday's episode of Karen's Quilt Circle the interview guest was Valerie Goodwin, author of Art Quilt Maps:

TUESDAY - I loaded Maggie's next quilt on the longarm:

... And enjoyed some time with these quilting friends:

Apologies to the two members who left the meeting before I remembered to take a group photo!

WEDNESDAY - A new Wonderful Wednesday post went live today.  Lots of fun stuff to see, if you haven't already ventured by.

Zoom with LeeAnna:

While I was waiting, I finally sorted through this stack of fabrics that my friend Ella gave me a few weeks ago:

There's even a bit of Light BLUE in celebration of April's Color of the Month for the Rainbow Scrap Challenge.  Thanks, Ella!  :o))

THURSDAY - ZoomBEE... LIVE!!!  We were able to visit in-person this week.  Instead of Cheryl's yard or my driveway, Maggie volunteered her lovely porch and surprised us with an airing of the quilts:

Here I am... Taking the group photo from too far away and neglecting to use the camera zoom feature:

News flash!!!

Tonight, I released a new Guest Blogger post.  Don't miss it.  Here's the LINK to Connie's TABLE SCRAPS Challenge entry.

FRIDAYA new edition of Design Floor Friday was released during the night.  Here's a preview:

This morning, the following friends met for ZoomKNIT:

REMINDER...

Kat has posted the May/June Block Drive for Covered in Love.  It's an easy one and I thought YOU might like contribute a block or two (or ten.)  Find the information in this LINK.

SATURDAY - It's Link Party day for the Rainbow Scrap Challenge!  I hope you will join me in visiting Angela @ So Scrappy to see what the RSC Quilters have been up to this week, as we wrapped up our Light/Bright BLUE scrap projects.

Today's BIG announcement...

Angela did the post on Thursday and the Color of the Month for May is:

RED

Here's what I have to work with:

Until next time...

  1. That red scrap basket full of scraps is really appealing, Joy! I'm glad you had time with friends this week, especially an outdoor get together of your quilt group.

  2. Do you sleep? The energy is off the charts. Glad you got to see fellow quilters. Until our lives are back in balance, we have taken a break from it all and are concentrating our energy to getting things more organised, catching up on all that we had to put on the back burner. Looking forward to having it all done, so we get time to move forward. Lots of projects on the go.
