Tidy Up Tuesday - Salt and Sand Blog Hop - Mr. Random Speaks

Welcome to another edition of Tidy Up Tuesday!!!  Back in March, I participated in the Salt and Sand Blog Hop hosted by Carol @ Just Let Me Quilt.  I thoroughly enjoyed making my Hop project and after the Hop was over, I went on a bit of a tangent making what I called my Small Seascape Series.

The final piece in the series was this super scrappy little beach scene...

At just 5.5" square, I still managed to use NINE different threads for the quilting:

And then it sat (and sat) until...

... It was transformed into a multi-functional miniature quilt, the first completed piece in the series:

I opted for finishing it without a binding...

... And the turning hole ended up being covered with the label:

Once it was done, it took a garden tour...

... Before being mailed off to Canada about a week and a half ago.

Congratulations to @snell.jan!!

She was the winner of my prize drawing on Tuesday, March 30th.  I notified Jan via Instagram message.

She responded with the following email:

Joyful,

What a delightful surprise to find myself a winner! Thank you! With such wonderful colours and choices it is hard to decide. So I will trust your kind, generous and talented spirit to do what suits you. So what ever project suits you on the given day you have to work on this project will surprise and delight me.

This truly was a lucky day for me as I was also able to finally make an appointment to get my vaccination.

Double YAY!!!!!

Thank you!!
Jan Snell

Here's hoping her small seascape arrives safely...

Sorry for the delay, Jan!  I had a really hard time deciding what to do for your prize.  Hopefully, you will like the fact that you are the proud owner of a "Joyful Original."  Feel free to use it as a coaster or attach rings to the back for displaying the piece as artwork.

Edited to add...

Her prize arrived today and she loves it.  Oh, happy day.  :o))

Until next time...
Relax and enJoy!!!
