ScrapHappy Saturday - RSC22 - Week 5

Welcome to Week 5 of the Rainbow Scrap Challenge!!  This week the RSC Quilters more away from RED and into AQUA/TEAL.  Sounds good to me!  TURQUOISE is a favorite color for me, while red is not.  The soothing colors of the sea are SEW much fun to play with.  I look forward to making as much as possible.

Did you start this week, Joyful???  Let's have a look...

SUNDAY - Spending time in Sue's World:

MONDAY - (Not So) Mini Monday was released to share my progress on the Stay At Home Round Robin.

This morning, I got out my AQUA/TEAL scrap basket:

Late in the afternoon, I went off to a (long overdue) eye doctor appointment.  We'll try to decide on new glasses tomorrow.

TUESDAY - My morning appointment included stopping off at my favorite Mexican place and picking up lunch for my coworker and myself.  YUM!!  Bonus, I got to spend some time sorting out our schedules for the next two weeks.

Spoiler Alert:  Mine SHOULD include MORE quilting time!!  :o))

Phone calls from Sue and LeeAnna filled the time before and after this shocking experience:

WEDNESDAY - 2/2/22 - Wonderful Wednesday, but no post.  I'm thrilled to have (finally) gotten the proper angle to capture this photo of the early morning sunshine through our bathroom window and its accompanying rainbow glow due to the self-adhesive window film:

This afternoon, I was thrilled to Zoom with LeeAnna @ Not Afraid of Color, but had to cut our call short in favor of a phone call that I didn't really want to make:

THURSDAY - No ZoomBEE for me!  Staycation is over and I was back to work.  :o((

FRIDAY - ZoomKNIT was also out of the question this morning.  Something to do with the fact that you can't be two places at once.  :P

Kitchen Influence for Project Quilting MIGHT include some of the following food fabrics:

Speaking of kitchens...

I keep wishing that I could find the "right" set of kitchen mats...

... But this one is not the right color and it was just a single.  :o((

SATURDAY - It's LINK PARTY day for the Rainbow Scrap Challenge!  I hope you will join me in visiting Angela @ So Scrappy to see what AQUA/TEAL goodness the RSC Quilters have been up to this week.

Until next time...
Get SCRAPPY!!

  4. Were those 4 glasses all slightly different? Or all the same? Whatever they are, they look great! But can you see better? ;) The Mexican food sounds good - going to make some here today!

  5. Don’t you just hate picking new glasses? I seem to get ones that look a lot like my old ones! :). That is on our schedule too soon. We travel to the eye specialist, 2.5 hours away! So weather is a factor! Not sure which ones you chose, but they all look good! Have a good week!

  10. I hate trying out new glasses. Then when they come in I'm always shocked that those were the ones I went with! Hahaha! Glad you were able to have some good Zoom times. Meeting friends is always good. Love that bathroom sunrise!

  11. Love the aqua scraps bag. Have you got one for each colour of scraps? They must look very jolly sitting side by side on a shelf!

  12. Wow, that turquoise bin is stuffed! Good things will come of it, I'm sure. I got new glasses this week, too. Still not sure if I like them. I'm afraid I might look like Velma from Scooby-Doo. Is that a bad thing?

  13. What a crazy week but if it includes sewing, it's not all bad! lol

  14. Well, Joy, your overflowing basket of teal/aqua is gently nudging (or silently screaming) that you use them and make something soon :-) Wishing you a sew happy week.
