ScrapHappy Saturday - RSC23 - Week 13

Welcome to Week 13 of the Rainbow Scrap Challenge!!  This week, I did all the usual things.  A bit of Zooming, some meetings with friends, and a little bit of sewing.

Here's the play by play...

SUNDAY - Believe it or not, this week began with me playing with some of my GREEN fabric scraps...

Yes.  A Zoom call with Knittingsuek featured prominently in my day:

Work and a completed GREEN Scrap Jar Star block:

TUESDAY -  Work

This evening, I went on a little explore around BlogLand.  That led to the next big thing...

I just signed up for the
H2H 2023 Charity Quilt Challenge.  Have YOU???  If not, there's still PLENTY of time get started on a quilt!  Sarah @ Confessions of a Fabric Addict is hosting this year's event.  (Welcome back, Sarah!  We missed you last year, but Mari @ The Academic Quilter did a great job filling in while you were away.)

WEDNESDAYWonderful Wednesday

The day started off with Coffee and Collage...

RSC Quilter friends, please notice the GREEN strip of scrap fabric glued into my Fragments journal!

With a side of knitting:

It also came with a gift exchange.  Tracy gave me those lovely hand knit socks that you can see in the photo above and I gave her my latest quilt finish shown below:

That meeting was cut short, but I had errands and grocery shopping to do.  Afterwards, as I was settling in up in the studio when noises outside forced me to investigate.  This is what I saw:

Erosion control is beginning on the new neighborhood next door.  Yippee!!

I went outside to get the scoop and returned just in time to Zoom with LeeAnna @ Not Afraid of Color:

THURSDAY - Work was followed by a(nother) not-so-pleasant surprise.

Here is what I found when I stopped by the house to change clothes before...

My Monthly Evening Quilt Bee:

Work was busy because we're having the Southern Season Warehouse SALE online and IN-PERSON this weekend.

SATURDAY - It's LINK PARTY day for the Rainbow Scrap Challenge!  I hope you will join me in visiting Angela @ So Scrappy to see what the RSC Quilters have been up to this week.

Me???  I made these little pin cushions for GREEN month:

You might have seen the one on the right last week (since I dropped it off at Knittingsuek's house), but the one on the left is MINE.  It's Tetrahedron from the book Pin Pals by Carrie Nelson.  E-book available HERE from the publisher.

Next month???

Angela made the color announcement in today's post:

PURPLE

I'm pretty sure that I can work with that!  Next week, I'll dig the scraps out and share what I've got to work with.  Now, I will just need to decide what I to make.  Sometimes that can be the biggest challenge.

Until next time...
Get SCRAPPY!!
