ScrapHappy Saturday - RSC21 - Week 12

Welcome to Week 12 of the Rainbow Scrap Challenge!! This week I did some GREEN scrap sewing.  Angela @ So Scrappy made me SEW happy when she announced the Color of the Month.  It's one of my favorites!

Here's how this week went...

SUNDAY - I started off the morning with a new Sew Some Love Sunday post going live.  In the midday, the final challenge for Season 12 of Project QUILTING was released.

I spent the afternoon working on this little GREEN scrappy quilt:

Check out tomorrow's entry for the rest of the story.

MONDAY - (A regular old...) Mini Monday.  See yesterday's entry for a preview, or better yet, click this LINK, if you haven't seen it!  :o))

Tonight was Quilt Guild.  More than 80 members joined the meeting.  A record for our Zoom meetings and more that some of the in-person meeting, too!  Our (virtual) speaker was Lilo Bowman, who imparted strategies for organizing our sewing spaces:

TUESDAY - Zooming with LeeAnna @ Not Afraid of Color was the highlight of my day.  Oops!!  Daylight Saving Time had its way with today's call.  This is us, at the beginning of what turned out to be a 3-hour meeting thanks to studio clocks that hadn't been sprung forward:

WEDNESDAY - Happy St. Patrick's Day to all who celebrate!! I published a new edition of Wonderful Wednesday today and spent SEW much time in the studio.  Here's a preview of one of the projects I was working on:

THURSDAY - ZoomBEE met this morning.  These 13 friends were in attendance and were later joined by 1 guest:

After lunch, I zoomed with Ruth B. to discuss the tips and storage ideas shared in Monday's guild meeting:

NOTICE:  The Salt and Sand Blog Hop is NEXT WEEK!!  Guess I better get busy on my project, huh?  Carol @ Just Let Me Quilt posted a list of all the participating bloggers HERE.  I hope you'll come back next Thursday (3/25/21) for my stop on the Hop!  Here's a look at my snippets, which are beginning to take on a distinctly beachy kind of a vibe.  I think you will be surprised at what these will become:

FRIDAY - ZoomKNIT found 6 knitting friends sharing some time on the internet this morning:

It's Design Floor Friday and you are NOT going to want to miss this one, if you haven't seen it already!  Here's a preview photo that had me laughing out loud when I laid down those eyebrows:

Spoiler Alert:  The eyebrows got reshaped.  Quite a bit!

Today's sewing?  Sorry!  You get only a small preview until Sunday:

SATURDAY - LINK PARTY day for the Rainbow Scrap Challenge!!  I'm excited to share my GREEN entry for the TABLE SCRAPS Challenge.  Not gonna lie... It feels SEW strange to have it finished this early in the month!  I wonder if any other RSC Quilter have completed their table coverings?  (Besides Diann @ Little Penguin Quilts.  She posted hers LAST WEEK.)  I hope YOU are working on your entry and will join up the LAST weekend of the month.

Until next time...
Get SCRAPPY!!!

  1. Have not even started it yet... however... I remembered some scraps of green and brown parts that might become this month's table topper. We will see. Lots of fun inspiration happening in your studio.

  5. My table topper is pieced and the backing cut. Need to find a piece of batting, then get it quilted. But it's going to be sunny and 60 today so I think the outdoors will beckon me first. Day after second shot and no reaction. Yay.
