Welcome to the March 2021 TABLE SCRAPS Runner/Topper Challenge!! Please scroll down to the bottom of the page to enter your table runner/topper, mug rug, etc. in the Link Party by Sunday, March 28, 2021 at 11:59 PM (EST.)
This month's color inspiration photo was chosen by Deb @ Happy to be Scrappy blog. Thanks, Deb!
No blog? No problem, you will be able to have your scrappy table runners/toppers hosted here on The Joyful Quilter. Just pop me an email with your name and a photo of your completed project and I will add it to a Guest Blogger post.
First and foremost, I want to publicly apologize to Jane in Australia and Connie W. for neglecting to link-up their posts with the February 2021 Table Scraps Link Party. Due to technical difficulties (read operator error) I was only allowed ONE link from my blog. I will be linking those YELLOW projects with March's GREEN ones. Of course, you all know that using the Rainbow Scrap Challenge Color of the Month is only a suggestion... NOT a requirement for participation.
From our participants...
I found this sweet mini mat at the Flamingo Toes when exploring the link from Britt_Quilts last month:
Then Nann @ With Strings Attached was back with a Scrappy Table Topper link and one for FREE Placemat Patterns.
Here's an idea for Strings that I got from Julie @ JulieKQuilts:
Visit THIS LINK for an update to her String runner.
Email me , if you have a "go to" runner or topper pattern. I'll add it to a future post. Thanks!
Where's the table covering, Joyful???
I'm getting to that. Since it was GREEN month at the Rainbow Scrap Challenge, I pulled out this Quilted Scrap Basket:
You can find the tutorial HERE.
What happened next was a little bit of cutting and some sewing:
It went fairly fast this month. You might have seen the details in THIS POST a couple of weeks ago.
Here is my March TABLE SCRAPS Challenge piece...

It's a Cover Up!!!
I like your table mat. It looks like a liberated log cabin; one of my favourite blocks. Well it's more than a block it's a way of thinking!ReplyDelete
I love the greens you picked for your mat, and also the spiral quilting. Looks perfect for your handcraft table Joy! Thanks for hosting this inspiring challenge. HugsReplyDelete

Not sure if I will finish mine on time since it says the linky expires in 2.5 days... I'll try hard!
I like the way you quilted your pretty green little mat! Thanks for letting in my rogue project this month!ReplyDelete
I like your idea of a monthly table topper challenge. I hope to have another next month!ReplyDelete
Ok, that white bear in the green basket is too cute! Great runner. Maybe I'll be a little quicker with the blues.ReplyDelete
