You see...
I had a week last week and didn't actually manage to finish my challenge entry until this afternoon. Friends helped me choose from these PURPLE binding fabrics yesterday afternoon:
I'm very happy to have made the (extended) deadline for this month's TABLE SCRAPS Challenge. Visit THIS LINK to see all of the lovely PURPLE table coverings.
During a quilting break this morning, I applied the binding:
A little while later, I decided to go ahead and stitch it down:
Here is the completed mug rug on the cutting table with my PURPLE travel mug:
Then, it was time for a quick garden tour. I can't believe that I have matching PURPLE mums in June:
I went right inside and put my new mug rug on my side of the bed:
Until next time...
Whew!! SEW fun!!!
Love the purple mug rug with that travel mug!

ReplyDeleteLove the purples and your new mug rug matches so well with your travel mug.
ReplyDeleteHi Joy, I think you have every shade of purple covered here. I especially like that you used straight and curvy lines in the quilting. And it is still June! Jane
ReplyDeletePurple mug rug is perfect with your purple mug.
ReplyDeletePurple mug rug + purple water bottle = quilting cuteness & fun!!!
ReplyDeleteLove the purple mug rug and the travel mug!
ReplyDeletePretty mug rug Joy. Of course you had a purple mug to match!
ReplyDeleteLovely purple mug rug and it is still June. At least it makes us procrastinators feel better to have our fearless leader miss a deadline (sort of). Now onto to July's color. And thanks for reminding me I could do a topper for my bedside table.

Awe. . .coordinated mug and flowers. . purple really is your color! Glad you finished!
ReplyDeleteGood for you getting your purple mug rug finished. It's a beauty!
ReplyDeleteI like your matching mug rug and mug. Tres chic! Sometimes it just takes a bit longer to get something done. Have you come up with your idea for the second blue? I've got a mental plan -- we'll see if it works. I may "borrow" your quilting stye from this mug rug too.
ReplyDeleteThat is so cute! and those colors - oh my!! beautiful!
ReplyDeleteVery cool that you happened to have had a purple mug to go with it!
ReplyDeleteGreat job turning those scraps into something so pretty. Thanks for sharing with Oh Scrap!
