(Not so) Mini Monday - SAHRR - Round 2

Welcome to (Not so) Mini Monday!!  I'm still lagging behind on the Round Robin, but the post is being released a little early.  The good news is that I've made some progress on my project.  :o))

I started off with this (partial) Feathered Star block:


Last week, I did a quick mock-up of piano key prompt:



Nothing more was accomplished, until...

Mid-week, when I tested a completely different sashing strip:


 And another set of (chunky) piano keys in red:


Late last night. I did this:



Once that was done, I began planning out my Plus Sign border:



Sorry, quilters!  That will have to wait until I can find my bolt of muslin.  It seems to have gone missing SOMEWHERE in the studio.

  6. I wasn't sure how that was going to work starting with a partial block, but with the piano key border in place it kinda looks like a sunrise. Hope you found your muslin so you can show off the next step.
