Welcome to (Not so) Mini Monday!! I'm still lagging behind on the Round Robin, but the post is being released a little early. The good news is that I've made some progress on my project. :o))
Have a look...
I started off with this (partial) Feathered Star block:
Last week, I did a quick mock-up of piano key prompt:
Nothing more was accomplished, until...
Mid-week, when I tested a completely different sashing strip:
And another set of (chunky) piano keys in red:
Sorry, quilters! That will have to wait until I can find my bolt of muslin. It seems to have gone missing SOMEWHERE in the studio.

Stay home and SEW!!!
This is my first time to see this project so it will be interesting to see where you're headed. Love the colors!
ReplyDeleteLooking good, Joy! There is always lots of auditioning of choices and possibilities with this project. It's fun to do!
ReplyDeleteFun! I like your double piano keys border! Those feathered star points are beautiful! So glad you are playing along, I hope you find your missing fabric soon!!
ReplyDeleteNice way to catch-up! It is looking good! Frustrating when I run out of the neutral background colors!!!
ReplyDeleteLove it! It is a very interesting way to interpret the prompts. Can't wait to see how this progresses!
ReplyDeleteI wasn't sure how that was going to work starting with a partial block, but with the piano key border in place it kinda looks like a sunrise. Hope you found your muslin so you can show off the next step.
