Welcome to Week 1 of the 2021 Rainbow Scrap Challenge!! If you are new here at The Joyful Quilter, I'm SEW glad you stopped by. Each Saturday, I join Angela's scrappy color challenge over @ So Scrappy. It's my favorite weekly link party. But first...
Let's see how I did on finishing up with December's DARK Neutrals.
SUNDAY - Released a new Sew Some Love post, caught up on some emails, and played with a DARK Neutral UFO. The quilt back got loaded on the longarm before the day was done:
MONDAY - Ready to rock and roll...
...until... :o((
8 bobbins later, I had only just finished the center of the quilt! I was beginning to wonder if this quilt really wanted to be finished by the end of the year:
TUESDAY - I really REALLY wanted to finish that quilt today, but the afternoon kept me busy with other tasks!!
Knittingsuek stopped by for her groceries:
I dropped off the book I borrowed from Needleb...
... And did a quilt swap with Carol:
Then, there was an evening quilt Zoom meeting...
WEDNESDAY - In the wee hours of the morning, my 2021 Resolutions Blog Hop post was released. The rest of the day was spent catching up on emails and preparing to quilt another quilt:
The highlight of my day was spending some time with LeeAnna @ Not Afraid of Color on our weekly Zoom call:
THURSDAY - This morning, ZoomBEE was canceled. :o((
I joined Cheryl @ Meadow Mist Designs for the Best of 2020!!! Linky Party. It highlights five of the 200+ posts written this year. What?! I had no idea that I had been SEW verbose.
Note: I really SHOULD have found time to complete my DARK Neutral Scrap Basket, but yesterday's entry clearly shows what I did instead of finishing my Challenge Basket. (Sorry, Judy!)
FRIDAY - Happy New Year!!! Welcome to 2021!! To ring in the New Year, I released my RSC21 - The Plan {Rainbow Scrap Challenge} post. I'm sure the items listed there will keep me busy throughout the year. However...
...Upon visiting Angela's blog, I realized that I missed her Full Stop announcement with all the details, complete with a quilt mock-up!! It's this year's edition of the RSC Sampler and the first block Hashtag - Full Stop Block 1 tutorial was released today.
I spent some time with these knitting friends, plus one more, during our first ZoomKNIT session of the year:
Then I spent some time working on the current quilt on the longarm:

We already know that it's PINK month for the Rainbow Scrap Challenge and here's what I have to work with:
SATURDAY - Angela @ So Scrappy is hosting a party. It's LINK PARTY for the RSC Quilters (my name for the participants in Angela's scrappy challenge to USE up our fabric scraps one color at a time.) I'm linking up with highlights from the past week here at The Joyful Quilter.
Edited to add...
SEW sorry that I was late to the party today! My quilt bee had a (Virtual) Quilt Retreat scheduled. Once it was over, I had to cook dinner and by the time we were done eating, I had already forgotten that it was Saturday. Whoops! Better go link-up, now.
Until next time...
Be SEW scrappy!!
