Mail Call Monday - Project QUILTING Edition

Welcome to this week's edition of Mail Call Monday!!  I'm here to share what arrived in my (E)mail box last week.  I was shocked and oh SEW thrilled!

What was it, Joyful???

An email arrived from Kim @ Persimon Dreams.  Not just any email...  This WINNER email:

Thanks so much for participating in another record breaking week of Project QUILTING with 234 entries! I'm thrilled to tell you that you are a prize winner this week!

https://kimlapacek.com/2021/01/winners-for-challenge-12-2-of-project-quilting.html

You won a PDF pattern of your choice from Hunter's Design Studio

I've included Sam Hunter in this email so you two can connect to collect your prize!

Thank you both for all your support!

~Kim

... And was off to review my options!

I absolutely LOVE Sam's Turning Points pattern:

I was tempted by the Chunky Wee Bag pattern:

Afterwards, I responded with...

Thanks SEW much, Kim (and Sam!!) I'm excited, as I have several more Hunter Design Studio patterns that I would like to make. This is the quilt I made from last year's prize pattern:

Sorry, Sam!! I didn't listen to what you said about the ZZZ's only being for the larger quilt. Adapting that border to fit the smaller quilt worked just fine.

I'm SEW excited!!!

But...

I seriously considered this one called Relatively Dimensional for one of the Whovians in my life.

What happened then, Joyful???

Well, I finally decided on Turning Points.

Because...

It is SEW stinkin' cute!!

Plus...

With Sam's fantastic instructions, I might even be able to  conquer paper piecing.  That's saying a lot, as it's a technique that is typically avoided at all cost!

Check out more fun pattern's @ Hunter's Design Studio.

Thank you, again, to Kim and Sam!  Project QUILTING is the BEST thing that has happened to my creativity EVER!  Thank you to ALL of the sponsors (and Mr. Random, too.)

Until next time...
QUILT a lucky break!!

  7. Congrats on the win. You selected a really fun pattern. Paper piecing isn't so bad, just take it slow the first time. It does get easier as you practice.

  9. Paper piecing is pretty easy once you get used to doing things upside down. All I've been doing lately is paper piecing of one kind or another.
