ScrapHappy Saturday - RSC19 - Week 40

Welcome to Week 40 of the Rainbow Scrap Challenge!!  This week is a transition week.  We're putting away our PURPLE scraps and scrounging around for the bits of fabric that are on the DARK side.  Here's Angela's announcement for October's Color of the Month.  If YOU are playing along, dig out the following colors:

AND...

I'm thinking that a new BROWN scrap basket may be in order.  We'll see if it actually materializes during the course of the month.

This is how my week progressed...

SUNDAY - Mountain House Retreat @ the Asheville Quilt Show:

Afterwards, we made our way back to the house for MORE quilting.  My project for the afternoon and evening?  Miscellaneous quilt blocks...

The outline of M for Mosaic:

And a small bit of PURPLE sewing:

MONDAY - Mountain House Retreat and M for Mosaic in process:

And I completed my Block Drive blocks for Last @ Covered in Love:

TUESDAY - Morning at Mountain House Retreat consisting of cutting for my "Ella" Quilt which contains bits of BROWN for the October's Color of the Month:

... Followed by packing up and the 4 hour drive home.  I was pleased to be taken out to dinner upon my return (instead of the normal "what's for dinner?" question.

WEDNESDAY - Back to reality.  :o((

But, WAIT!!!

My new computer arrived:

It may not LOOK like much, but this machine will soon restore my sanity.  I know that sounds like a tall order for a laptop, but as soon as my Tech Guy arrives, I'll be posting with the best of you!

THURSDAY - Errands, etc.

FRIDAY - The weekend has arrived.  Hooray!!

SATURDAY - It's LINK PARTY day over on Angela's So Scrappy blog.  Head over to see what DARK and moody projects are on the go.  I'll be over later.  Right now, I'm on the way to Sew/Craft Friends-zy.  MORE quilting!!  :o))

Until next time...
Get Scrappy!!!

  3. What a neat block! You are doing the Ella blocks too? Fun. Looks like the tech guy arrived and hubby gets lots of points for the dinner out instead of the 'what's for dinner' question! He's a keeper.
