SUNDAY - A day filled with blog writing and an evening filled with sewing, unfortunately NOT with the Color of the Month:
MONDAY - Knit group saw a changed project. Ripping out the pink that didn't work AT ALL was followed by re-knitting the section in the BLUE that I found in my stash:
TUESDAY - Once the chores were done, I got ready for my hair appointment. After I was beautified, I stopped at the coffee shop for an afternoon of knitting quietly with a nice cup of tea (and maybe a cookie.) I'm quite pleased with my progress:
The evening was spent with friends at Girls Night Out. Hooray! for friends enjoying some time together with a good glass of wine, a yummy sandwich, and a delicious dessert. Bliss!!
WEDNESDAY - Could it be?! A stay-at-home day!! Oh, yes, it is... because we got 3 or 4 inches of snow in 2 hours this morning. Plus, it continued snowing for hours. NOPE!!! I'm not going ANYWHERE!!!
THURSDAY - My Weekly Quilt Group didn't meet today. Well... not in person, anyway. We got MORE SNOW!!! A total of nearly 12 inches. The most snow we've had in the last 10 years! Just ignore the
FRIDAY - Sweater Class... It's starting to look like a sweater:
SATURDAY - It's LINK PARTY day over at So Scrappy. Head over to see what the RSC Quilters have been doing with their BLUE fabric scraps. Me? I'll visit the links tomorrow, as I'm off for a day of sewing fun.
I'll leave you with the delivery of an early birthday gift:
My knitting friend was more than a LITTLE happy to receive her very own Quilted Yarn Bowl. Complete with crazy pose. LOL
Sharing with Cynthia for Oh Scrap!
Until next time...
Get Scrappy!!!
It looks so cold. Hope that sweater is done in time to help keep you warm!
ReplyDeleteSnow days! I miss those and the shoveling =). You could make a snowman and dress him up =). Lots of great knitting progress and pretty red block. Enjoy your sewing day.
ReplyDeleteThat is lots of snow for you! I love a good snow day - perfect for knitting or sewing. We're supposed to get a bunch overnight, so that could be my day tomorrow. Have fun working on your sweater!
ReplyDeleteJust wish I had learned to knit years ago , so much nicer than crotchet
ReplyDeleteWe heard about your avalanche of snow on the News and were a little jealous. Ours keep melting. We either have a -20 Celsius or a +1. Go figure. But than again, this is Canada, what do you expect, lol. Love the Cote d'Azure yarn. Gorgeous! ;^)
ReplyDeleteDo you always do RSC colors for your beautiful fingernails?
ReplyDeleteLove the photo of your friend being silly! Silly friends are the BEST :)
ReplyDeleteIt sounds to me like you've had yourself a lovely week. Yay for the snow!! We just received our first real spell of it, and since I didn't have to travel anywhere this weekend, I enjoyed it through my sewing room window.
ReplyDeleteYay snow!! Right?? ha ha - love the finger nails!! and all the projects!
ReplyDeleteFun read and photos. Thanks for sharing ... :-) Pat
ReplyDeleteFor me Snow days = Sew days. Looks like you made the best of your. Thanks for linking up with Oh Scrap. I always love to see what you have been working on.
ReplyDeleteLike you, we got snow, but ours was 12 inches and it was on Friday night and all day Saturday. Any snow/sew day is fine with me, LOL! Your knitting is looking nice, and what a cute picture of your friend with her gift!
ReplyDeleteI'm terrible because I can't stick to order for very long. Last year I was staying on top of the RSC color order but this year, I'm all over the place. I hope to settle down and complete a quilt that I began last year and didn't finish. I would love to be more disciplined...gonna try!
ReplyDeleteYou and your friends are my kind of people :) Have a great week!
ReplyDeleteLove the blue nails....they fit right in with January's colour. It is nice to have a girls night out and your friend looks very happy with her gift.
ReplyDeleteThat sweater is really coming along, I like the colorful stripes.
ReplyDeleteThat's a lot of snow. We got about an inch out of it, so it was at least pretty for a day. The sweater is looking good. Happy stitching this week.
ReplyDeleteLove those snowy stay-at-home days! I hope you stayed in your PJ's all day! Looks like your friend's birthday gift ended up being a twofer! lol
