You can find the instructions for Part 6 at this LINK. My first step was to start cutting the pieces and parts:
I cut for Clue 5 AND Clue 6 before going to the sewing machine:
Units for Clue 5, previously ignored due to elf sewing:
Not a lot of either, but that's OK. It's enough to say that I am participating.
But, WAIT!!!
I also did some "double sewing" on Needleb's geese units:
For completing that service (and the trimming), I will be the recipient of that beautiful pile of Bonus HSTs shown below:
As I was working on this post, I found that Bonnie had posted a surprise BONUS for us, only a day after releasing Part 6!!!
Whaa!?!? Yep! Go have a look for yourself. The instructions for Rapid Fire Part 7 can be found HERE.
We combined with our Flying Geese units:
And then... she did it, again!!
For Rapid Fire Part 8 visit THIS POST.
Bonnie gave us the layout:
BOOM!!! It's a block:
As if all that wasn't enough...
Bonnie also posted Part 9!!! The reveal on New Year's Day!!! The quilt is GORGEOUS!!! You can find the details HERE.
Check out the LINK-UP to see how many people have already completed quilt tops and how many have completed quilts. You are sure to be amazed.
Until next time...
Be Mysterious!!!
You have been very busy! I've never attempted a Bonnie Mystery, nor will I , but I do enjoy seeing them out in blogland. As efficient as you are, I guess we'll be seeing the completed top soon?!?
ReplyDeleteI like it! those rapid fire clues threw me off!
ReplyDeleteThat last bunch of clues felt like an ambush, didn't it? (And there I was, stuck half a mile from my sewing machine ...) I'm looking forward to getting some blocks done and catching up with you!
ReplyDeleteYour posts are always so fun to read, and your block looks great! Keep going!
ReplyDeleteWow, that's a mystery quilt quickly revealed! ;) I love your blocks, so pretty!
ReplyDeleteThe rapid fire release was quite fun! I have got all of my blocks pieced but not started with the sashing. It was a lot to do in very short period of time. :)
ReplyDeleteI'm still chugging away on Clue 3. I'm really having problems getting them to come out right! Thankfully, I'm a little more than half done. I'm trying your "15 minutes a day in the quilting room" suggestion and spent the time last night pulling apart about 8 failed units. With a little investigation, I was able to figure out what the problem was, retrimmed everything to fit and they are all sitting by my machine to sew up during tonight's 15 minute time. I was really impressed how much I got done in that short time (OK, it was really about 20 minutes, but you get the idea)...
