Welcome to this week's installment of Wonderful Wednesday!! This week I'm here to tell you about a surgical procedure that I alluded to in Saturday's ScrapHappy post.
The horror!! Mom found a hole in a special friend. Baby can't sleep without Ruffy! The Joyful Quilter to the rescue:
With the "Lovey" secured to light-weight fusible stabilizer...
I sewed around the edges and "birthed" the cuddle pup:
Notice the Band-Aid for his boo boo - Mom found a hole, which I stitched up prior to "surgery":
A lap around the perimeter...
Followed by another for good measure...
The patient looks like new:
He spent some time in "Recovery" just to make sure his vitals were stable and that there were no complications:
Ruffy was driven by "ambulance" (otherwise known as my car) back to his home and the waiting arms of his boy...
... Who promptly performed the "sniff" test:
While those photos make is SEEM like the surgery was a success, it took the weekend to know for certain, as the verdict was still out.
All was smiles...
... Until the boy touched the new fluffy side. Definitely a mixed review!! Only time will tell. Days passed. Finally, news arrived.
Mom sent some additional photos and heaved a HUGE sigh of relief because...
Hooray!!! The surgery was indeed a success!!
Until next time...
Hope for the Best!!!
Oh how cute! Glad the patient was able to make a full recovery.
ReplyDeleteSo adorable, can't decide which is cuter. I know where your heart is for sure.
ReplyDeleteAw, so sweet! I remember my Mom doing "surgery" on my favorite stuffies when I was little. Very important work! :)

ReplyDeleteDr. Joyful, you did an excellent job by the look of that smile. Awesome! So cute too. ;^)
ReplyDeleteOh so cute narrative - and I can relate! Loved the story!
ReplyDeleteGreat to know that the boy's Lovey is well and back on duty. Now Dr. Joyful will be on call 24/7 for years to come. ;)
ReplyDeleteOh, my gosh, that is too cute! The smell test -- I love it! All quilters hate mending, I think, but when it's for one of the little ones, it's delight.
ReplyDeleteCutest blog post ever! Oh, my gosh. I want to go back and read it again and again! Such a happy little story!
ReplyDeleteHaha :D "The Sniff Test" :D Super fun post. Thank goodness acceptance was achieved. I know how bad it can be!
ReplyDeleteThat is so cute! Did you make it originally too? I love the new minky on the back. It looks soft and cuddly.
ReplyDeleteThat's the sweetest little puppy quilt ever! How fun! Can't wait for grandkids some day. I hear they're great.
