ScrapHappy Saturday - RSC18- Week 5

Welcome to Week 5 of the Rainbow Scrap Challenge!!  This was a transition week for the RSC.  We moved from sewing with BLUE to working with scraps of ???

SUNDAY - There's a new Quilt-Along in town:

Check it out over on Confessions of a Fabric Addict blog!!  Today is the first day.  I'm off to see what Sarah has up her sleeve...

MONDAY - Today is my last day at Monday Knit Group for a while.  That's OK.  I'll get over it!  :P

Why so nonchalant about it, Joyful?

Well, here is why...  This group is so wonderful that they voted to rearrange the weekly knit schedule to accommodate my new schedule!!  Isn't that just the sweetest?!?!

Thanks you, knitters!!!  I am thankful to be part of such a loving group.  I appreciate your flexibility more than I can express.

On a celebratory note...

Happy Birthday, Mr. Basket!!!  I hope you had a wonderful day.

I did!!  Knit Group was followed by a sewing session at home and dinner out for DH's birthday.  YUM!!!

I also posted a new installment of Mail Call Monday.  You can find it at THIS LINK.

TUESDAY - Today, I spent the morning with a new little friend.  Afterwards, I...

Celebrated the NEW Color(s) of the Month posted by Angela for the Rainbow Scrap Challenge!!  Lavender and:

Find the announcement post HERE.  Thanks to Ivani from Arte em Casa for alerting me to the fact that Angela posted it early!!  I know what I'm working on next...

Sorting out my PURPLE scraps.

But first, I've got to head out to my Monthly Quilt Group.  Bye!!

Afterwards, I posted another Scrap Attack Tuesday post.

WEDNESDAY - The day started off with a fun meeting with an old friend.  Coffee and a nice chat.  Bliss!!

And an afternoon of quilting with Needleb.  I accomplished...

SOMETHING... but can't remember what!!  :o((

Later, I released this week's Wonderful Wednesday post.

THURSDAY - Today was my Weekly Quilt Group meeting.  The first one that I've missed in quite some time.  Alas, that will become the new normal.  On an up note, they sent me a few pictures to enjoy!!  :o))

FRIDAY - I was busy through the early afternoon, but went to quilt with Needleb for a while.  I concentrated on... NOTHING!!

Instead, I did a little work on my BROWN and BLACK baskets from last year...

Then worked on a sweet new basket for a good friend...

... And layered up my "Sandy" basket:

SATURDAY - It's our first PURPLE LINK PARTY for the year!!  SEW many people love...  Are YOU one of them???  If so, head over to Angela's So Scrappy blog for a hefty dose of it.  :o))

Meanwhile, I'll be playing with THESE:

Until next time...
Get Scrappy!!!

  1. Good luck with your new schedule! I'm needing a Joyful fix. Maybe when I'm 100 miles closer ...

  2. Enjoy the new color, Joyful. Meanwhile, I am stuck with the blues ... but don't worry, I'm okay. I'm spending time with some 365 blues, ha! ;^)

  3. Very nice! And, may I trouble you to let us know the name of that gorgeous nail polish you are wearing? :-)

  4. Sounds like you had a great week. Your purple nails set the tone perfectly.

  5. Busy week and so nice of your group to change time so you can still enjoy time with them. Love the purple nails.

  6. You've got some pretty purple fabric and some pretty purple nails there, Joy!
