ScrapHappy Saturday - RSC21 - Week 3

Welcome to Week 3 of the 2021 Rainbow Scrap Challenge!!!  What a week it's been.  Quilting, quilting, and MORE quilting with a side of knitting.  Just the way I like it!  :o))

SUNDAY - In the wee hours of the morning, I released a new edition of Sew Some Love Sunday and in the midday, I posted my first entry for Season 12 of Project QUILTING.  Here's a preview, as I was testing the quilting stitches (on PINK scrap fabric, of course) after installing a new bobbin:

MONDAY - Today was a quilting day:

Here's a better look at the cute backing fabric Carol chose for her quilt... including letters, numbers, and these sweet PINK glasses:

Tonight, I put on my best smile in preparation for ZoomGUILD:

Our speaker...

She presented her lecture/slide show called Japan 2.0 and shared the culture of quilting (and its future) in the island nation:

TUESDAY - Another quilt swap with Carol this morning:

Later, I worked January's TABLE SCRAPS Challenge runner:

Before dinner, I began thinking about loading Carol's quilt on the longarm.  Thread has been selected, but I need to decide on a quilting design.  Here are the two choices and I'm hoping YOU have an opinion about which one works best for this whimsical quilt:

WEDNESDAY - This morning's grocery processing went well. We even managed to squeeze everything into an already FULL fridge!

After lunch, Nancy brought a quilt for me to longarm:

Later this afternoon was my regularly scheduled Zoom call with LeeAnna @ Not Afraid of Color:

(Sorry for not waiting to see which design board you thought I should use, but...) Tonight was spent making progress on Carol's quilt and you'll just have to tell me if you think I chose wisely:

THURSDAY - ZoomBEE met this morning.  These twelve quilting friends (plus two more not pictured) joined in our colorful chat:

What did you do once Carol's quilt was done, Joyful???

I loaded the next Lutheran World Relief Quilt on the longarm, before changing the design board for Nancy's quilt, of course:

FRIDAY - I overslept this morning and missed the first half-hour of today's ZoomKNIT.  These knitting friends were waiting for me:

This afternoon, I prepared to start sewing on January's TABLE SCRAPS Challenge.  I had planned on doing a runner this month and opted for Quilt-As-You-Go.  Here is the center strip with separate stacks for the left and right of center:

Before bed, I released THIS Design Floor Friday post.

SATURDAY - LINK PARTY day at Angela's So Scrappy blog.  The RSC Quilters will be there sharing this week's PINK projects for the Rainbow Scrap Challenge.  Let's go see who has arrived!

Until next time...
Get SCRAPPY!!!

  4. Such a busy week, as much as I love Baptist Fans, the whimsy of the diamonds is such a good match on the fun fabrics. Love the letters fabrics. I'm keeping my eyes open for some punctuation marks to back Fullstop.
