Wonderful Wednesday - November Sew/Craft Friend-zy

Welcome to another edition of Wonderful Wednesday!!  This week, I'm here to report on November's Sew/Craft Friend-zy.  

People came and went at various times, but...

Here are the highlights...

Tiffany was presented with her REAL 50th Birthday gift:

I modeled how to wear it as a shawl:

Carol worked on creating some gifts:

Lisa planned to start out the morning with an ornament project:

Denise came with ANOTHER new kit:

The Cuba bags are nearly done.  Tiffany finished the embroidery:

A couple of the crafters were working on making ornaments:

There was also a production line for making Art Bowls:

Another crafter was responsible for shaping the bowls.  Over bowls.  Then the waiting begins:

Tidy Up Tuesday - ITW - Goodie Bag of Awesomeness

Welcome to another edition of Tidy Up Tuesday!!  Into The Wool Fibre Retreat came and went.  Afterwards, I was on the road headed for Lake Ontario for CCLQ @ The Bluff Retreat Repeat.  There was barely enough time to unpack, do laundry, and repack before I was out the door, again!

In my haste (and in the aftermath of being away for 11 days), I missed sharing some items.  Namely, my Goodie Bag of Awesomeness from the Knit Retreat.

This includes the list of designers who offered FREE patterns between the retreat and the end of the year.  I'm in the process of choosing the patterns that I want to add to my Ravelry library.  I've added a few, but seem to have misplaced my ring of coupon codes.  :o((

ScrapHappy Saturday - RSC18 - Week 45

Welcome to Week 45 of the Rainbow Scrap Challenge!!  Finishing is now the name of the game.  Well... For the other RSC Quilters, it is.  For me... Not SEW much!!  I may try to pull one finish out of thin air (after the rest of my To Do List has been worked through), but I'm not counting on it.

Never fear, I will still report in each week.  This is how the last 7 days passed by.  I'll tell you, they're getting to be a big blur!

SUNDAY - I spent the day in bed after being up most of the night.  Sick.  Apparently, delivery took too long to arrive last night.  :o((

On the upside, I got the last round of blocks made for my Blooming 9-Patch quilt:

AND... The center of my B9P pieced and took extra care in packing the corners for next time (as I had a puzzle to deal with when I was ready to start assembling!)

MONDAY - Made a Zoom-y mug rug for a gift:

Wavy lined quilting with another interesting batik on the back and I remember to include my label:

TUESDAY - It's Girls Night Out!!  We're having an out of town Raveler join us.  Well...  Make that THE OTHERS were having Girls Night Out!  I remained tucked up in bed.  :o((

I woke with a fever and barely moved from the bed all day.  Except for my trip to the doctor, but Mr. Basket drove me there.  Afterwards, he deposited me home and went off to pick up the prescriptions for me, along with a few necessary grocery items.

Later in the evening, I received a text saying that everyone missed me and it included this group photo:

Aww, thanks!!!  You all look like you had TOO much fun.

WEDNESDAY - Knit Group met this morning and I quilted all afternoon.  We'll, that was the plan...  Alas, I remained in bed.  See yesterday's entry for details.

THURSDAY - It was a LONG day today.  I didn't manage to release this week's Wonderful Wednesday post.  :o((

FRIDAY - Hooray!  The weekend has arrived.  Time for the three R's... Rest, Relaxation, and a REALLY lot of quilting.

SATURDAY - It's LINK PARTY day over on the So Scrappy blog.  Some of the RSC Quilters are on a finishing spree.  Go check it out!!

Scrap Attack Tuesday - October Results/ November Job Pull

Welcome to another edition of Scrap Attack Tuesday!!  I'm here to relay the latest news in Scrap Land.  My goals for October didn't exactly align with the tasks that I needed to accomplish.  See for yourselves...

October Accomplishments (Or NOT!!!)

9. Paula picked cutting, Choose a Sizzix die and wind out!

The machine was ready, but I wasn't able to locate the die that I wanted to use.  I might not have looked very hard, but I did cut some scraps (by hand... er... rotary cutter) for these:

3. Make a "Fiona" Scrap Basket like Chantal:

At first, I chose the dark GREEN bowl to comply with the Rainbow Scrap Challenge Color of the Month for October:

Then, I realized that I had a fair number of white/off-white homeless scraps...

... But, if you refer (once again) to the earlier photo, you will notice those are the very colors of the sample basket that was shown:

Instead, I believe that I might attempt a beige/tan basket and divide the contents of the lighter colored one.  Sound like a plan? 
Here's hoping that I can manage to tackle (and contain) some of these scraps!!  If not, you'll be hearing about it NEXT month.

Scraps WERE used.  Perhaps, October wasn't as big a fail as I first thought.  What do YOU think???

ScrapHappy Saturday - RSC18 - Week 44

Welcome to Week 44 of the Rainbow Scrap Challenge!!  This week is transition week for the RSC Quilters.  There is no new Color of the Month and the focus has shifted to finishing up our projects that have been growing throughout the year.  Alas, that's NOT what you will see here.  :o((

SUNDAY - SAFF, Day Three.  A rainbow of color in Natasha's booth, The Unplanned Peacock:

That was the view from our table, as my friends and I enjoyed knitting with Hilary from Criminal Knits and discussing her upcoming New Year's Eve KAL.

Return to reality.  Got home too late to do any "catch up" work.  :o((

MONDAY - Released a new Mail Call Monday post.  And realized that I forgot to take pictures with ITW friends at SAFF.  :o((

Sorry about that, Kat, Jamie, Raeus, and Tammy!!  It was great to see you all, again.  I did snap a photo of Kat's now-completed Fade Shawl.  LOVE it!!!

TUESDAY - Found a new-to-me charity while reading another blogger's post HERE.  As usual, I'm posting it here for you.

I went to my Monthly Evening Bee.  Missed it last month because of Quilt Retreat.  It was good to be back!  I did the cutting for my last round of 9-Patches for my B9P:

WEDNESDAY - I went to Knit Group and worked on my new sock project that I cast on at SAFF last weekend:

Ding Dong!!  Trick or Treat!!  Happy Halloween!!!

In between waves of children at our door, I remembered to release this week's Wonderful Wednesday post.

THURSDAY - Ugh!!  Thank goodness for Tylenol Cold.  Without it, I would have been confined to bed all day!

FRIDAY - Same as yesterday x 2, as there's now a rattle when I cough.  Here's hoping I'm better by tomorrow, as I'm all packed up and ready to go to my Monthly Sew Day with my Raleigh friends.

SATURDAY - It's LINK PARTY day over on So Scrappy, but I'm off to another Sew/Craft Friend-zy in Raleigh.  Hoping for LOTS of progress on one or two of my UFOs.  We'll see how that goes and I'll catch up with the other RSC Quilters later in the weekend.
