ScrapHappy Saturday - RSC21 - Week 46

Welcome to Week 46 of the Rainbow Scrap Challenge!!  This week, my schedule was not my own.  I had hopes for the evening hours.

Let's see how that went for me...

SUNDAY - See Joy sew:

It was supposed to be one of my two days off for the week, but the manager needed someone to cover for a coworker who was scheduled to work today.

TUESDAYBoy, is it ever hard to look at all these gourmet treats and not feel hungry all day long:

Zoom with LeeAnna @ Not Afraid of Color:

THURSDAY - Who stole the Daylight Saving Time?  I want it back.  I'm SEW tired!!  This was me at o-dark-thirty in the morning, preparing for my day and thinking about my Rainbow Scrap Challenge friends who may be working on colorful quilting projects today, as well as my  ZoomBEE friends:

The others met LIVE and in person today.  I was sad to miss out on the fabric fun.  :o((

FRIDAY - ZoomKNIT went LIVE this week, too!  I was pleased to be able to arrange my schedule so that it allowed me to attend:

SATURDAY - It's LINK PARTY day for the Rainbow Scrap Challenge!  I hope you will join me in visiting Angela @ So Scrappy to see what the RSC Quilters have been up to this week.

Colorful yarns at my friend Cindy's house yesterday:

Until next time...

  1. Some weeks it's all we can do to "steal" a little bit of time to sew. Glad you could meet in person with at least one of your groups.

  2. Not every week is so busy to keep you away from sewing! Gratefully!

  3. Busy Bee! I hate the return of standard time too! The early sunset and cooler weather makes me want to eat comfort food! Like chili, potatoes, dessert! Ugh!

  4. Sounds like you are working on that 'balance' between work and fun things. Love the shot of the rainbow shirts! I went through clothes drawers and cleared out.... does that count?

  5. Is that your closet full of rainbow t-shirts, Joy? That made me smile! It's hard to adjust to not having your own schedule anymore, so I hope you can figure out how to squeeze in the good stuff every so often!

  6. Stop looking at those treats, Joy. Better still stop showing them to us. I have always wondered about DST - If we spent an entire summer saving daylights, why are we in the dark for most of the winter? Savings should not work this way.

  7. A little sew time is still better than no sew time. Let's hope for a bit more for next week though. Greedy, huh?

  8. That's a great photo OP with lots of rainbow tee shirts! Another busy week for you, but aren't they all? We have moved to daylight saving time here too, makes our lovely summer (almost here) evenings longer.

  11. I'm so glad you got a little sewing done, and it's nice to see faces without masks at your meeting - yay! When I clicked on that website I was instantly wanting everything I saw. Looks like a great place to buy Christmas gifts!

  12. Here's hoping that calling you to do extra hours doesn't become a regular thing, but staffing shortages are everywhere. I went to the UPS store to drop off some Amazon returns and there was a sign on the door saying they wouldn't open until 1 PM due to lack of staff. So now I'll have to make a separate 25 minute (each way) return trip. That's 50 minutes I could spend quilting.

  13. Just remember, all those lovely treats have lots of lovely calories. Save them for Christmas cookies-- coming soon! Hope you get a little more stitching time this week.

  15. Hi Joyful, I loved what you sewed for the mini Baggie challenge...very sweet. I had to smile at the leftover scraps...I have two major scrappy quilts on the go and it feels like I'm ending up with more fabric than I started...not possible is it??? Love to see these happy faces and of course, your big happy joyful smile too.

  16. Looks like another full week for you, and I'm glad you can keep Zooming with friends. It's still a time-saver to be able to stay at home and still keep up with crafty-friends connections. I haven't participated in the RSC, but I've seen some of the lovelies others have made. It's a really nice, longterm making idea.
