Sew Some Love Sunday - LWR - The First Completed Quilt

Welcome to another edition of Sew Some Love Sunday!!  For today's post, I'm here with some really good news.

The first quilt top received:

Became the first Mission Quilt to be quilted:

Which became our very first completed quilt for Lutheran World Relief effort here at The Joyful Quilter:

Here's a better look at the free-motion swirl quilting that Needleb did on her longarm quilting machine:

Along with the pale green binding that she took from her stash to finish off the quilt:

Special thanks to Nancy R. and Needleb for collaborating on this cheerful quilt!  I am SEW excited (and was inspired to begin working on quilting up the six tops that I've received thus far from the minions my quilt group.)  More on that in a future post.

You can check the DONATIONS tab at the top of the page to see the progression of the LWR project.  Please leave a comment, if you are interested in contributing to our Mission Quilt effort in any way.

Until next time...
SEW some love!!!
