ScrapHappy Saturday - RSC22 - Week 12

Welcome to Week 12 of the Rainbow Scrap Challenge!!  This week I'm on staycation, but that (unfortunately) doesn't necessarily mean that it was all quilting all the time.

Let's see how I did with my YELLOW/GOLD scrap sewing...

SUNDAY - My final PQ 13 challenge reveal post can be found HERE.

I enjoyed a Zoom call with Knittingsuek:

(Does it count that) I used my little "yellow" scissors when working on my SAHRR:

MONDAY - This week's Mail Call Monday post was released (a bit behind schedule.)

(A backlog of...) Paperwork occupied much of my time today, but then I set out for my Quilt Guild meeting where...

I saw my old friend Karen for the first time in several years:

And...

Delivered a copy of Goodnight, Darlene! by Kevin the Quilter to my friend Marian.  We were both signed up for the class back in April of 2020, but you KNOW what happened then!  Sadly, Kevin is no longer blogging and the pattern is not currently available.  Special thanks to Kevin, as I feel SEW fortunate that he was able to scrounge up a copy for us:

TUESDAY - Housework and a nice long walk kept me busy today.  I did spend a little time in the studio, but I'll tell you about that later in the week.

WEDNESDAY - Wonderful Wednesday edition of The Guest Blogger(s). You will NOT want to miss this one!!!

More studio time was followed by my weekly Zoom with LeeAnna @ Not Afraid of Color:

THURSDAY - Stay at Home Round Robin Reveal POST.

ZoomBEE field trip to Pineapple Fabrics/Keepsake Quilting... without me.  :o((

I stayed home and worked with these small YELLOW/GOLD scraps:

This afternoon, I prepped a quilt back for loading on the longarm and enjoyed a lovely chat with one of my knitting friends.

FRIDAY - The March 2022 TABLE SCRAPS Challenge LINK PARTY went live overnight.  There's time to start (and finish) a project between now and the time the link-up ends on Monday, March 28th @ 11:59 PM.  All are welcome to join!

This morning was my weekly ZoomKNIT meeting.  With me!!  :o))

I was late, missed a photo with one friend and did a terrible job of getting a good shot with the others, but it was great to see everyone, even though it was only for a short while before everyone had to leave:

What a delightful surprise it was (late last year) to find that one of my blog readers lives SEW close to me!  Once I discovered that, I began thinking of her as my quilty neighbor.  This afternoon was cool and breezy, but after 3 months of waiting, I enjoyed (finally) meeting Sherry at the local park for a walk and a wonderful chat:

Thanks for the meet-up, Sherry!

SATURDAY - It's LINK PARTY day for the Rainbow Scrap Challenge!  I hope you will join me in visiting Angela @ So Scrappy to see what the RSC Quilters have been up to this week.  The forsythia are in full bloom for YELLOW month:

Until next time...
Get SCRAPPY!!

  1. Yes, I'd say the yellow scissors count! And there's a yellow goose in your PQ mini, too. But I love the forsythia in bloom the most! Looking forward to seeing them here soon.

  2. How wonderful to get to meet up with one of your blog readers. I've met a couple of mine over the years too. What fun! I really miss reading Kevin's blog as he is so creative and entertaining. So it's good to know he's still out there.

  3. You had a busy but fun filled week. Sorry you missed the trip to the quilt shop! Fun to meet blogger friends. You all have really helped me feel connected during this isolation filled couple of years. Looking forward to a new month for TSC - you know how I love words.

  6. I miss forsythia bushes! Such a nice spot of color after the winter. Glad you got some friend time in this week and a walk to boot! I'm off to finish up the binding on my topper so I can post it and link up later.

  7. Looks like a great week! The foscythia bush is gorgeous! (when I was a kid, I used to think it was named for me; for-cynthia!)

  8. Oh our meet-up was filled with easiness as we learned about each other. Thanks for taking the time for a short walk in a big wind.
