ScrapHappy Saturday - RSC19 - Week 31

Welcome to Week 31 of the Rainbow Scrap Challenge!!  It's time to say goodbye to PINK and hello to a NEW color. That will occur on Thursday.  What color do YOU hope to see???

SUNDAY - Returned from SC, met DH in Elon, and went to MIL's.

MONDAY - Back at the machine:

I (hopefully) completed the repair on my newly finished quilt.  There MAY have been MORE sewing, too!  I also released a new edition of Mail Call Monday.

But, WAIT!!  There's more.

I also quilted this Mug Rug:

It was SEW much fun...

... That I designed another using these scraps, selected by DS2:

Yes.  It was a busy evening with the darker side of PINK.

Here is what developed:

TUESDAY - Apparently, it's going to be a busy week.  I finished burying threads on my Pecking Order quilt at Evening Bee. When I got home, I checked one of my favorite (quilting) reference books...

... And played with the quilting on this little Hostess Gift...

Shown from one end...

... And the other:

Notice... There are hints of PINK for the RSC!!  :o))

WEDNESDAY - Today, I finished writing up this week's Wonderful Wednesday post.  You can find it at THIS LINK.

I also put the finishing touches on the following small gifts...

For the hostess with the most-est:

For the friend til the end:

Here's hoping they like their Joy-made Quilted Mug Rugs!

THURSDAYThe freshly finished mug rugs made their way to New York.  DS2 delivered them at the end of an evening flight.

Earlier in the day, I realized that Angela had not posted the NEW Color of the Month.  What is your guess?  I'm guessing:

Light BLUE

FRIDAY - I might have mentioned that I won tickets for the Sewing Expo.  Thank you, DOQ prize patrol!!

I took my friend Carol, as a retirement gift:

Yesterday was her LAST DAY at work and I'm SEW glad that she decided to spend her first day of RETIREMENT with me!!  We also ran into some members of my Sew/Craft Friends-zy group:

Whoops!!  After reading more carefully, I realized tonight that Angela buried August's Color of the Month announcement in her Wee Wednesday post.

SEW sorry! I didn't see it on the first pass.  I was more concerned about seeing what Angela was up to with her son's dorm quilt on the frame (and gazing at that view.)

Fortunately, I guessed correctly AND started the month off by (accidentally) using a bit of the appropriately colored Light BLUE scraps on the mug rug shown in Wednesday's photo above..  :o))

SATURDAY - Yep!  Never a dull moment.

It's LINK PARTY day over on Angela's So Scrappy blog.  I'm hoping that Angela will post before I have to leave for Raleigh (again.)  Today is the day that Sew/Craft Friends-zy for the month of August and I can't stay as late as I normally do.  There's a party that I need to attend this evening.  It should be a lot of fun.

As you might expect, I may not be able to catch up with the RSC Quilters until tomorrow.  Oh, wait!  We've got company coming.  Sigh.

Until next time...
Get SCRAPPY!!!
