Think Spring is my 2nd entry:
This quilt was a LONG time in the making!! You can read more about that HERE. Suffice it to say that the purple print was the back of DS1's Teacher Quilt from kindergarten and the green was the border for his 3rd grade Teacher Quilt. For a point of reference... he's a senior in college now!
The quilt was started more than 10 years ago as a Mystery by one of my bee mates. It's amazing what can be done with a traditional block and a planned arrangement!! (The color choices were pulled from my scraps.) Thanks for a GREAT design, Tif, pictured below at Quilt Camp:
... And thanks to Cath of High Country Quilts for offering the Mountain Quilt Camp, BYO Project Edition:
Without those two, Think Spring would more than likely STILL be sitting in pieces in the basket shown on the table below:
I have to say, it would have been MUCH easier to assemble, if that basket contained ALL of the clues for putting the quilt together!!
The end result, after 3 days of sewing, is not too bad for starting Quilt Camp with only a basket of HSTs and the first 2 steps of instructions:
With a bit of (necessary) rearranging after camp and quilting...
... And binding...
... The quilt was finished:
