The Guest Blogger(s) - Vol. 36 - Trekking in PINK

Welcome to another edition of The Guest Blogger(s)!!  We have a new participant this month.  Sandra from Australia heard about the TABLE SCRAPS Challenge through Sockjeannious on Ravelry.  Jeannie has been participating this year and Trek15 decided that she wanted to play along.

Here is her brief post...

Well, I tested positive to covid yesterday (Tuesday) and am quite unwell, feel like I’ve got a cross between sinusitis and the flu. Feeling a bit better today though which is good. I won’t be sewing for a few days, so April’s table topper won’t be ready by the end of the month, but the top is finished. I used some 1”, 2” and 2.5” strips. I love how the 1” strips (1/2” finished) look.

I responded with the following...

Oh, goodness! Sorry to hear that you have Covid. The top of your TABLE SCRAPS Challenge entry turned out SEW cute with those tiny strips! No worries about not being able to meet Monday’s deadline. You’ll finish it once you are feeling better.

Give Sandra's strippy PINK and (subtly) word-y project some quilty love in the comments below.  I know that you enjoyed seeing her super stripy little quilt.  I certainly did!  I love that she jumped into this month's TABLE SCRAPS Challenge only a week before the deadline. Thanks for sending a photo to inspire my readers to USE their small fabric strips!

Link Party REMINDER...

The April 2022 TABLE SCRAPS Link Party starts on Friday, April 29th @ 12:01 AM and closes on MONDAY, May 2nd @ 11:59 PM.  There's still time for YOU to start your own PINK and/or WORD-y project.  You are welcome to join in the scrappy fun.  Even if you haven't played along before or don't even have a blog (just like Sandra did!)

Until next time...
SEW those table scraps!!!

  2. Get well wishes to you, Sandra. Hope you have a mid case and improve quickly. Two of my quilting friends tested positive this week and both have symptoms. They've been very careful for two years now, but I fear we are all destined to get it eventually (and maybe repeatedly).
