ScrapHappy Saturday - RSC19 - Week 47

Welcome to Week 47 of the Rainbow Scrap Challenge!!  Most of the RSC Quilters are in finishing mode.  I'm only trying to finish my last Quilted Basket for the year.  Hoping even THAT is an attainable goal.  This remains to be seen.

The progression of my week...

SUNDAY - I did the last load of laundry for the weekend, did some blog surfing, and continued to give my seam ripper a workout.  I also did some catching-up on paperwork.

MONDAY - Tonight was the November Quilt Guild meeting.  I drove the carpool and we all enjoyed Annette Ornelas's presentation on Peeled Back Patchwork:

And...

Member-painted Barn Quilts from a recent class:

TUESDAY - For those of you who mentioned that you wouldn't have enough brown scraps to fill my newest basket, after Guild I loaded it up to the tippy top:

WEDNESDAY - Thank you to everyone who inquired about how I was feeling after my recent stomach upset.  I was back to feeling better again. Well, now, I'm headed into the land of cough and hack.  Kids and their daily trip into the Germ Factory (at school.)  What are you going to do?!  :o((

THURSDAY - Today was my day to care for a friend who had hip replacement surgery earlier this week.  Her day is filled will laps around the house (inside) and naps:

When my time there was complete...

... I used the time as a gift and got my nails done.  This time, in a festive blue-black color.  With sparkles!  Ready for the holidays.

FRIDAY - I'm nearing the finish line with my newest Quilt Scrap Basket.  A task that has been made more challenging due to my ailing 19-year-old Pfaff.  :o((

I stopped by the local home improvement big box store to purchase a new pair of "quilting" gloves.  I'm ready to do the final quilting on my Green Scrap Basket and these grippy gloves should help:

I've signed up for the Winter Blues Blog Hop:

There's PLENTY of time for YOU to join in the fun, too!!!

SATURDAY - It's LINK PARTY at the Rainbow Scrap Challenge!  Head over to Angela's So Scrappy blog to see what scrappy wonders the other RSC Quilters have stitched up this week.

Until next time...
Get SCRAPPY!!!

  2. I love your basket, even if it is full of browns, one of my least favorites. Good luck with that last one!

  3. Well, I'm hoping your Winter Blues invitation will get me motivated to pick up my snowflake Blockheads project again. It's been too long! I think I like the service aspect of your week the best this close to the holidays. Thank you for taking the time to serve others during this hectic time of year!

  8. Hope you didn't succumb to the nasty stuff going around, it is that time of year. We've already had a few families from work come down with the flu. Hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving.
