ScrapHappy Saturday - RSC19 - Week 46

Welcome to Week 46 of the Rainbow Scrap Challenge!!  While many of the RSC Quilters are working on finishing up their scrappy quilts, I'm busy quilting up another of my Quilted Scrap Baskets.

Here's how my week progressed...

SUNDAY - Today, I kept things rather low-key, as I wasn't feeling well last night or this morning.  I managed to tackle Mt. Washmore and finish the NEW book that I got on Friday:

Dancing in the Dark by Hilary Latimer was an enthralling story from cover to cover.  If you like mystery and intrigue, mixed with some romance, this may be just the book for you.  I literally COULD NOT put it down!!

MONDAY - I popped up to the studio bright and early this morning.  Two sections of my newest Quilted Scrap Basket have been quilted:

Just before dark, the sky looked like this:

TUESDAY - Evening Quilt Bee met tonight.  I shared some progress on my new Jumbo Scrap Basket.  Little, though, it was.  I tried my hand at "E's and L's" (along with "echo, echo, echo" as Angela Walters always says in her Free-Motion Challenge Quilting Along videos) for a quilting design in one of the spaces:

WEDNESDAY - This afternoon, I scheduled a hair appointment.  That was followed by a date with my seam ripper.  Sometimes, it pays to check twice before sewing a seam.  Whoops!

THURSDAY

FRIDAY - Tonight, I'm off to November's Friday Night Sew-In.  I wasn't sure what to work on since completing the top of my "Ella" Donation quilt.  I decided on trimming scraps to make Block Drive blocks for Covered in Love:

SATURDAY - Can you believe that it's LINK PARTY day for the Rainbow Scrap Challenge over on Angela's So Scrappy blog?! Did your week pass quickly or seem drag on forever?  I hope that it included some sewing time, either way.

Until next time,
Get SCRAPPY!!!

  1. Is your latest scrap basket green? Those look like a great way to practice your quilting! I must make some CIL blocks this week!

  2. I would need a much much larger than jumbo scrap basket for all my scraps... maybe a house

  3. How big are your jumbo bins? I made mine to fit on a certain shelf.

  4. Oh Joy, I hope you are feeling better now. Is Mount Washmore another name for laundry? I kinda like it :-p
Hair appointment? Well, I don't believe you since you are not showing your new do :-) I have nothing to show for Angela's linky party. May be next month I will be able to round up all the partying sisters and finish a flimsy.
