ScrapHappy Saturday - RSC19 - Week 45

Welcome to Week 45 of the Rainbow Scrap Challenge!!  This is the first full week of November.  That means that it's "finishing season" for the RSC.  I started the week with a new Jumbo Scrap Basket in BROWN for 2019's final Color of the Month:

SUNDAY - I occupied the morning hours by doing a few extra loads of laundry.  The afternoon spent visiting with DS1, as he was home for ANOTHER visit.  My evening hours were filled with a quick trip around BlogLand.

In my travels, I found that Kat from Covered in Love has just released the Nov/Dec Block Drive.  She went easy on us in consideration of the upcoming Holidays.  OPTIONS!!  You can make based on your scrap availability.  Follow the link to find out more about the choices she's offered.

If I had been paying attention, I might have released a new Sew Some Love Sunday post.  I completed the top of my "Ella" Donation Quilt at yesterday's Sew/Craft Friends-zy:

MONDAY - Waiting for sticker before (return) trip to Raleigh!!!  I called the repair shop to let them know that the timing on my Pfaff is not quite right... Even though I just got it back on Saturday!  :o((

Another frown-worthy event???

I'm having trouble getting Blogger to upload my pictures.  :o((

I thought it might be something I was doing wrong, but that didn't really make sense (since I do it ALL THE TIME!)  Then, I ran across a quick post from my friend Libby.

SEW... Apparently, it's NOT just me.  Whew!  That makes me feel a LITTLE better.

TUESDAY - DS2 left for New York.  He'll only be gone ONE week this time.  I'll still miss him (especially since I was the person who had to do the grocery shopping today!)

I spoke with the sewing machine repair guy today.  He said to bring it in at my convenience and he will take another look at it.  Let's hope it works better (and quieter) this time!

WEDNESDAY - DH worked late and DS2 is away.  You know what THAT means, don't you?!?!  After dinner, I layered and stabilized the scrappy pieced panel for my next Quilted Scrap Basket.  The photo shown below is a bit dark, but the colors were truer than in the brighter picture:

Once the machine was closed up and the project packed for it's Bee trip(s), I visited friends in BlogLand.  Alycia released the fabric requirements for her new Winter Quilt Along.  The good part about her Mystery Quilts is that she plans clues that take only ONE HOUR per week.  Take a look, if you like QUICK quilts!

THURSDAY - The Junior Quilter and I headed to my Weekly Quilt Bee to take pictures of today's Show and Tell.  Special thanks to Miss Ella who brought a bin of toys to entertain Little Miss JQ:

Speaking of Show and Tell...

I showed off my next Jumbo Scrap Basket (in progress) which will house my (much loved , perhaps overabundant) GREEN fabric bits:

This also happened...

... Carol handed over the Pineapple Award...

... To the person who spent the most at the last Pineapple SALE, which, just happened to be ME!!!!  :o))

FRIDAY - This morning, I attended Knit Group then followed that up with a few errands.  The afternoon found me visiting a construction site.  (One of my friends is building a new house.)

Welcome to the weekend!  I had hoped to release a new Design Floor Friday post.  Did it happen???  Yes, it did!/No, it didn't.

SATURDAY - It's time for this week's LINK PARTY of on Angela's So Scrappy blog.  I'll catch up with the RSC Quilters later today, as I'm on my way to my Monthly Quilt Bee meeting.

Until next time...
Get SCRAPPY!!!

  5. Oooh, I love your scrap basket, though I could never fill it with browns. Sometimes I have trouble getting photos to load, but usually it works out if I come back in a couple of hours.
