The Guest Blogger - Vol. 33 - Jeannie's Wordy Kite

Welcome to another edition of The Guest Blogger(s)!!  With a week to go before the April 2022 TABLE SCRAPS Challenge Link Party...

Jeannie posted the following in the Show and Tell discussion thread on the Quilters Knitting group...

Had a little trouble with the April Table Scraps challenge. The challenge was blue and words. My husband thinks the vertical view looks like a kite. I like the horizontal view better.

Here's the comment that I posted:

Looks good, Jeannie! Either direction works. SEW… What was the trouble???

This was her reply:

The flying geese block was smaller than the pin wheel block and I originally had the geese pointing up. Once I turned the geese, it was easy to see I just needed to add the word fabric to make the block bigger. The kite is growing on me.

Give Jeannie's word-y project some quilty love in the comments below.  I know that you enjoyed seeing her unique wall hanging.  I certainly did!  Thank you for sending photos for the blog, Jeannie.  I appreciate you sharing your project so that others may be inspired to use some fabric scraps, too!

Link Party REMINDER...

The April 2022 TABLE SCRAPS Link Party starts on Friday, April 29th @ 12:01 AM and closes on MONDAY, May 2nd @ 11:59 PM.  At this posting, you have the entire week to start your own PINK and/or WORD-y project.  (Deciding on your own color, like Jeannie did this month is fine, too.)  Even if you haven't played along before, YOU are more than welcome to join in the scrappy fun!

Until next time...
SEW those table scraps!!!

  4. From your last post...Your heat press sounds like you are in business, Joy. I'd not heard of such a thing. Aren't handy husbands useful. Mine is great at assembling and trouble shooting too.
Meanwhile, great discussion about this little quilt. It is a little interesting beauty!
