ScrapHappy Saturday - RSC21 - Week 50

Welcome to Week 50 of the Rainbow Scrap Challenge!!  This week the only scrappy bits were offcuts from my latest T-Quilt commission (and I didn't even get a picture for the blog.)

Here's how the past week went...

SUNDAY - Yesterday I was lucky enough to connect with LeeAnna @ Not Afraid of Color for our weekly Zoom call.  Albeit, a little late.  I appreciate that she has been able to accommodate my work schedule.  I'm pretty sure Zooming on the weekend is NOT her preference!

After our talk (and after dinner) I knocked out the next step of my commission quilt.  Not exciting, but the stabilizer needed to be cut to size so that I would be ready for the HOT job.  Pressing will be here before you know it:

MONDAY - Memories of fun times with friends:

TUESDAY - Pumpkin Pudding from the Libby's website:

WEDNESDAY - Wonderful Wednesday!  No post, but I am happy to report that I have taken care of the final items on my list for tomorrow's house closing. Yay, me!  Nothing like waiting until the last minute, but that's my normal way of doing things!  (Not proud of it, there you are. and they don't call me the Queen of Procrastination for nothing.)

THURSDAY - Yes, it's true.  Today was Closing Day!!!  As of lunchtime, our old house is finally SOLD (and by 5PM, we had a hefty check in our hot little hands.)  Anyone care to join me in a happy dance???

FRIDAY - Banking first thing this morning.  You know?  We needed to deal with that BIG.  FAT.  Check!!  :o))

SATURDAY - It's LINK PARTY day for the Rainbow Scrap Challenge!  I hope you will join me in visiting Angela @ So Scrappy to see what the RSC Quilters have been up to this week.  (Angela's membership with Mr. Linky expired last week, so I'm sure she's scrambling to choose another service.  Keep checking back for this week's party link.)  Edited to add today's link.

I'm off to work the afternoon away, but I'm hoping to Zoom with LeeAnna @ Not Afraid of Color this evening or sometime tomorrow.

Until next time...
Get SCRAPPY!!

  1. You can breathe a little easier now! I would like to point out that THIS Libby is not responsible for the pumpkin pudding ... or anything pumpkin (unless it's appliqued on a quilt).

  2. I am starting a t-shirt quilt as well. Not my favorite quilting task, but always so well loved!

  4. Yay for the house closing! I know that is a very good feeling. Getting jobs like cutting the stabilizer for a t shirt quilt done is not a favorite job, but also good to get that out of the way!

  7. Happy dancing with you on the house closing! Such a relief, I know. And since you don't have to go back and forth, does that mean you'll have stitching time? Fingers crossed!

  12. Physical check? I thought you were speaking metaphorically. I thought all closings were done electronically these days. How fun to see those big numbers on paper!

  13. Once again, you've had a busy week, and obviously the best part was the check! I'm happy that you've finally closed, and now can look ahead - only! - to settling-in. Hope your holiday preparations are going well, in between everything else!
