ScrapHappy Saturday - RSC21 - Week 38

Welcome to Week 38 of the Rainbow Scrap Challenge!!  ORANGE month is in full swing.  If you visited last week, you know that I'm falling a bit behind on my RSC sewing.

Let's see how I did this week...

I spent the early afternoon emptying the kitchen boxes that DH and DS2 brought home from the old house last night.  Later in the day...

MONDAY - I spent much of the day in a virtual seminar.  When I wasn't watching, I was unpacking boxes.  Things are starting to come together in the new kitchen.

TUESDAY - Today was another day of online classes.  My goal for the day was to clean and straighten up the rest of the kitchen, as DS1 is planning to visit this weekend.

WEDNESDAY - I got a package in today's mail:

I hope to write up a post to share with you next week.

This afternoon was my weekly Zoom call with my friend LeeAnna @ Not Afraid of Color and we must have gotten the color code memo:

THURSDAY - ZoomBEE went LIVE this morning:

I went home with some contraband, as Dee Dee had prepared a bag of scraps for me:

Thanks, Dee Dee!! Cheesy grins all around.  LOL!

FRIDAY - ZoomKNIT met this morning with only a few participants:

During the meeting, I heard a noise and went to investigate.  Apparently, FedEx thought this was a good place to deliver my new storage cubbies, as opposed to putting them on my large covered front porch:

SATURDAY - It's LINK PARTY day for the Rainbow Scrap Challenge!  I hope you will join me in visiting Angela @ So Scrappy to see what the RSC Quilters have been up to this week.

If you look closely, you'll see some bits of orange in the Shaggy Denim quilt covering DS1, who arrived in time for a late dinner last night and bunked down on the living room floor:

Until next time...
Get SCRAPPY!!!

  1. Wow! You have been busy! Burning the candle at both ends, my mom used to say. ! Muti-tasking they call it nowadays! Golly I love that quilt Britt put together that you shared on your Sew Some Love Sunday post! Awesome!

  2. I was concerned by your lack of posts this week. Getting settled in a new place is challenging. Also a great time to divest yourself of things you never used at the old place and should have given away before you packed them. (Don't ask me how I know ...) You will be back in the groove soon.

  5. Busy week! What a strange place to leave that package..... when there is an obvious weather protected place to put it? Enjoy your visit with your son.

  8. It's good to know you're making steady, settling-in progress, all while maintaining your weekly friendships and Zoom calls. What a good job you do at multi-tasking! Love that this color month is orange, a favorite color. The hint of orange on the denim quilt is such a nice color pop. Enjoy having kids around again. I can attest that as they get older, visiting happens less and less.

  9. You have maintained your busy schedule, even if it is not all quilt related. Things will settle down and the weather will cool and you'll be back to creating in no time.

  10. Getting unpacked and settled in to a new house is a chore. Hope that process is going well and that soon you'll have lots of time to hang out in the sewing room again.
