Group Photos...
The early crowd:
The afternoon crowd:
My apologies to the midday crowd. I was sew excited to be stitching that I forgot about taking photos!
The work and play day...
... Found me up in my new studio ready to do some sort of quilty task:
Had planned to do some organizing during the meeting, but spotted some HSTs ready for trimming:
Once the HSTs were trimmed, I made sure they were all in the right place:
Then I stacked them up...
... And started sewing:
By the end of the day (not the group sewing session) I had a completed quilt top:
This post wouldn't be complete without a shoutout to my friend Sfgwife. She was kind enough to pawn off gift these offcut HSTs (and more!) to me last year. I worked on them at one of our last events, too. What a thrill to finally have this put together!
Until next time...
BEE inspired!!!
What a fun day! And I love the quilt top.~Jeanne
ReplyDeleteYou made great progress. Trimming HSTs is not one of my favorite tasks. Nicely done!
ReplyDeleteYay! Sewing in your new studio!!!! Your mini looks really sweet and it's an adorable keepsake from your sewing buddy.
ReplyDeleteI know you're happy to finally be functioning again.
ReplyDeleteYay for getting back on track. If you balance some sorting/organizing with some sewing/quilting, you'll make progress on both.
