The Guest Blogger(s) - Vol. 19 - Jane from Australia

Welcome to another edition of The Guest Blogger(s)!!  Jane emailed earlier this week.  I took longer than anticipated getting around to telling you about it.

Here is the story of her July 2021 TABLE SCRAPS Challenge...

My runner for July uses the oversizing of a recently finished blue bargello quilt. Pattern Surf Song is from Eileen Wright, but was for a small quilt and I wanted a king size so had to guess how much bigger to go:

I went too far (my usual position) so had some trimmings off one side which I fitted back together into the pattern:

This month I actually used the Rainbow colour of dark blue as I put on borders and binding,  hand sewing was finished on Saturday night:

Once again thanks for the challenge, as I doubt that I would have continued each month with my runners without the deadline. And thanks especially for posting my ‘post’ for me.

Jane

Thank YOU, Jane!!  I appreciate your participation in the TABLE SCRAPS Challenge.  You are doing a great job of using up some of your fabric scraps each month.  Thank you for allowing me to post your work here on the blog.

Share the quilty love for Jane's project in the comments below.  I know that you enjoyed seeing her beautiful bargello as much as I did!

LINK PARTY REMINDER...

  2. Love your quilt and the runner is wonderful! I agree with you - this challenge has allowed me to be creative and finish off some things that would have stayed in their bins in the sewing room.

  3. Jane, I really like bargello quilts and your blue one is so full of movement. How nice you were able to make the extra sections into your June runner.
Joy, I may not be able to get anything done this month as I have injured my left arm (not even sure how) and have limited use of it. Glad there's an extra week in case I have a miraculous recovery.
