Let's see what I kept me busy...
SUNDAY - Sew Some Love Sunday
I buried the thread tails on these three quilts from Ann Z. on the way to my MIL's house for the holiday:
MONDAY - This morning, I met my friend Linda Illustrator to deliver 27 skeins of yarn for her charity knitting group:
There's even some Dark BLUE for my RSC Quilter friends:
During the late morning, I stopped by Knittingsuek's beautiful studio. My interfacing was ready for pick-up and she had a cute new block to show me:
In the midday, I delivered the quilts to Ann Z.:
I spent the afternoon with B, who was kind enough to help me with the beginnings of a massive studio overhaul. It got worse before it will get better, but that's the way these things go:
TUESDAY - I can't believe that I'm giving this quilt away! It was completed with a piece of B's floral fabric (to supplement my own), but the quilt insisted that it needed to leave my house. Big Star Country by Alycia Quilts, made as part of her A-6 Mystery QAL (and quilted by Alycia herself!) is going to live in California with one of my most quilt-worthy nieces:
WEDNESDAY - I had several appointments today, but no photos.
The highlight of my day was my weekly Zoom with LeeAnna @ Not Afraid of Color:
You might notice a different photo angle, as my computer perch was rearranged the other day.
THURSDAY - ZoomBEE...
... Was followed by a swim to the airport. (It was pouring down rain all the way there!) At one point, I was only going 40 mph on the interstate. No rush, as the flight was delayed because of that same rainstorm:
This afternoon, I quilted the first of four quilts that Carol needs for a special visit. The photo below shows a few of the threads that I pulled for consideration. Notice to my RSC Quilter friends... there's a Dark BLUE kitty peeking out from beneath the quilt top roller:
Have YOU seen the Novella pattern from Preeti @ Sew Preeti Quilts?!?! The adorable wall hanging/ table runner is available in her Etsy Shop HERE. It's ON SALE at a 25% discount ($6 US until Thursday, July 15, 2021.)
ZoomKNIT met this morning. Here I am, waiting to join the meeting:
This evening, I found that Angela had posted the Full Stop block for July. Head HERE to see the instructions.
SATURDAY - It's LINK PARTY day for the Rainbow Scrap Challenge! I hope you will join me in visiting Angela @ So Scrappy to see what the RSC Quilters have been up to this week.
Until next time...
Get SCRAPPY!!!
What a gorgeous quilt going to CA! Looking forward to seeing what's shakin' with your studio overhaul. Do you have a new haircut? You look so pretty. :)
ReplyDeleteOh boy - a peek into the sewing studio! Busy week and love those cats on the frame.
ReplyDeleteLove the quilt heading off to CA. Another busy week but you're still smiling and as Linda said, looking fabulous.
ReplyDeleteI bet those pink quilts were fun to work on! They're so happy! A studio overhaul is lots of work, but exciting. It will be worth the time it takes away from sewing!
ReplyDeleteswim to the airport... lol...
ReplyDeleteBusy bee, the studio will be so much better. Glad you had a sidekick to help with it all. Have an amazing week
ReplyDeleteHappy pink quilts, love how you quilted them, Joy.
ReplyDeleteHow nice that your pretty pink quilt is going to such a quilt worthy neice.
ReplyDeleteWheww! You have been very busy and so many pretty projects to admire. I love all of the pink quilts. Happy quilting.
ReplyDeleteAnother busy week, but one with lots of progress. Good luck with the sewing studio overhaul. I need one of those too.
ReplyDeleteYou have been busy! Cute pink quilts, Studio Overhaul always daunting! I remember Big Star country in pink! Glad it’s going to be loved! Hope to see you closer to the end of the month! Figuratively, I’m not going to show up on your doorstep!
ReplyDeleteA neighbor of mine flew to Raleigh on Thursday and I worried about her flight with all the rain coming in from Elsa. I'm sure her flight was delayed as well. Looks like you had a great week!
ReplyDeleteA busy and productive week, I really like the quilting on the three little pink quilts.
ReplyDeleteI hope the behind the scene thing is nothing bad. Good to see your smiling face. The quilt looks fantastic. Your niece is going to be overjoyed.
