Sew Some Love Sunday - Positivity Quilt Top Link-Up - The Joyful Quilter Block Drive Edition

Welcome to another edition of Sew Some Love Sunday!!  I'm here to share the amazing thing that happened with these beautiful PositivityQAL Plus blocks from Preeti...

As you may have seen in yesterday's ScrapHappy Saturday post, I delivered them last weekend:

By early Monday evening, I received this photo from Maggie showing the extra blocks made for this layout:

A few minutes later, this photo appeared in my inbox:

On Tuesday afternoon, this fabulous quilt top was complete:

On Thursday at our Weekly Quilt Bee, Maggie shared the completed PositivityQAL quilt top...

60" x 80"

... And had completed a smaller bonus quilt top using the extra blocks she made when planning Preeti's quilt for Mercyful Quilts:

Approximately 50" x 60"

Thanks to Maggie, the impossible became totally possible.  Thank you, thank you, THANK YOU!!  There was absolutely NO WAY that I could have made this happen without you.

Would YOU like to help with another Mercyful Quilt???

Realizing that not everyone would want to make enough blocks for an entire quilt, I'm hosting a Block Drive in conjunction with Preeti's QAL.  You can read more about it in THIS POST.

Note...

There's still time to make a block or two (or 10) before the July 30th mailing deadline.   Also, since I'll be busy the first 2 weeks of August, you can even have an extension until August 15th.  Leave a comment below with the number of blocks you would like to pledge.  Please make sure to include your email address, if it's not attached to your Blogger account, as I'll need a way to contact you about your contribution.

Until next time...
Think positively!!!

  3. I have 8 blocks all done and ready to mail. Just need to get a photo. I should have taken it on Friday, but forgot. Yesterday we had 3.3" of rain (from 1 AM to 10 PM) so it's a little soggy here right now. I'll post a photo on IG when I can get one taken.
Please email me your address and I'll send them this week.

  9. Kudos to you for coming up with a way to get more folks involved, making a community quilt all the while spreading Positivity!!! Kudos to Maggie for being the lean mean piecing machine that she is. And I am just thankful I have one less thing (what to do with these plus blocks and when do I make this baby quilt) on my plate :-) Big Hugs.
