Sew Some Love - Positivity QAL - The Block Drive

Welcome to another edition of Sew Some Love Sunday!!  I'm here with another update about the new block drive here at The Joyful Quilter.  I realize that the Lutheran World Relief Quilt Drive hasn't been wrapped up, but who can resist these quick and easy Plus blocks???

These came from Robobeagle on Ravelry:

I also got this package from Preeti...

... With the hope that I might be able to set her sample blocks (Not related to the Block Drive here at The Joyful Quilter!) into a quilt top quickly:

My answer to that???

NO!!  (Fortunately/Unfortunately) I've got a LOT on my plate at the moment and there was no way that I could accept that particular challenge.

Maggie to the rescue!!!

A friend of mine agreed to set these sample blocks from Preeti into a quilt top to share at the upcoming Positivity Link Party on July 18th.  Thank you, Maggie!  I knew that if anyone could accomplish the task, it would be you.

Is there time for me to help, Joyful???

Yes!  YOU can help with the PURPLE and WHITE Simple Plus blocks by using Preeti's TUTORIAL.  Use any shade of purple, along with any white/white on white/white based neutral, for the scrappy quilt we're creating.  (Either color can be the Plus or the background!!)  The Block Drive is open through the end of July.  Leave a comment and then drop me an address request email when you are ready to mail your blocks.

Positively thrilled by the teamwork on this project...

Thanks for coming up with this great QAL, Preeti!  Since I wouldn't have been able to make enough blocks for a quilt all on my own, I'm glad that my readers were happy to help.  I am SEW excited to see these blocks come together for our contribution to Mercyful Quilts.

Until next time...
Quilt to GIVE!!!

  1. Lol, I was just thinking maybe I could send you my 16 red and white blocks, but no, I won't! I had forgotten that your block drive is for purple and white, and I just don't have any purple at the moment. Meanwhile, I'm glad you have so many generous and helpful friends that will step in for quilt drives!
