Sew Some Love - Angels in Gumboots - In Review

Welcome to another edition of Sew Some Love Sunday!!  I'm here to post an update to my Angels in Gumboots post.

You might recall that I volunteered to coordinate the US collection for the Quilters Knitting group on Ravelry.  Well, readers decided that they wanted to contribute, as well.

Thank you to Quilting Knitters...

Siberspinner made these blocks and rallied the troops at her local Quilt Guild:

Thank you to these readers...

DHoctor sent these lovely blocks:

Louise of Quilt Odessey:

Thank you for your contribution towards postage fees!!

Bonnie in Virginia:

In addition to these blocks, this lovely quilt was sent directly to New Zealand by one of our Quilting Knitters:

Kris7 lives in Australia, so while it probably wasn't cheap, it probably didn't cost as much to mail as it might have from here in the States.  Thank you, Kris, for such a generous contribution!!

Picotine mailed these blocks directly to New Zealand:

Thank you to my wonderful Quilt Bee family...

Several members made blocks:

The wrap-up...

I included a card that lists contributors:

The blocks were bagged for an extra layer of protection...

... Boxed up...

... And sent on their way, in an attempt to heal hearts, wounded by senseless violence.  They will be transformed into a quilty hug for someone affected by one of the world's most recent tragic events.

Thank you to Angels in Gumboots for allowing quilters (from around the globe) to share in your generous act of kindness to counteract the ugly!

Until next time...

Sending Hearts for Christchurch!!!
