ScrapHappy Saturday - RSC18 - Week 35

Welcome to Week 35 of the Rainbow Scrap Challenge!!  Hmm...  What shall I start with this week?  How about a shot of a souped up Hot Rod from Saturday's car show?  It's ORANGE:

SUNDAY - Mt. Washmore and household chores were at the top of today's activities.

MONDAY - Knit Group was small today. Only three knitters were in attendance.  Vacations, illness, and other plans kept the majority of members away.  :o((

TUESDAY - Day ONE of caring for a sick child.  Bring on an evening of Quilt Bee with my friends!  We had a large group with seven member and one guest (potential new member!) in attendance.  What did I do?  I worked on a knitting project:

WEDNESDAY - Day TWO of caring for a sick child.  I was spent when I got home, so I did absolutely NOTHING!!

THURSDAY - Day THREE of caring for a sick child.  DH's brother is in town for a family wedding.  We went over for a few hours.  Enzo's Pizza was a favorite of the bridal couple while they were in college and Brenz Pizza owns them now, offering the same menu of specialty pizzas.  The delivery guy was kind enough to provide picture proof for the bride:

It was delicious!!  (I would ALMOST be willing to throw over our regular pizza place for more of these flavorful concoctions and that is high praise coming from me.)  An intimate gathering of nine family members made for a pleasant evening.

FRIDAY - Day FOUR of caring for a sick child rounded out the week.  Let's hope for improvement over the weekend!!  As the sun went down on ORANGE month...

... The Meet and Greet, hosted by the groom's family on the 17th floor of University Tower, was just getting into swing.  All who were in town for the wedding were invited to this "business casual" affair.  The event offered hors d'oeuvres, desserts, and drinks, accompanied by a popcorn bar for the children in attendance.

SATURDAY - It's the BIG day!!  LINK PARTY day over at Angela's So Scrappy blog, along with a Color of the Month:

DARK BLUE, along with DARK NEUTRALS will dominate the month of September for those quilters participating in the Rainbow Scrap Challenge.  Follow the link above for ORANGE wrap-up posts.  There may even be some overachievers making a head start on our new color!  (I'm not among them, obviously.)

I'm off to participate in the family wedding festivities!  There won't be time to visit those who link-up with Angela, but I hope to check in on the RSC Quilters tomorrow afternoon or evening.

Until next time...
Get SCRAPPY!!!

  5. What a week for you. Sometimes that’s just the way life goes. I hope the little one is feeling better. That’s a long time for a child to not be feeling well. I hope the wedding was a fun week ending for you!
