ScrapHappy Saturday - RSC18 - Week 31

Welcome to Week 31 of the Rainbow Scrap Challenge!!  It's transition week for the RSC.  We will say goodbye to RED and hello to ???  Please, tead on to see what colorful delight the month of August holds...

SUNDAY - Mom/G-ma celebration in Greensboro.  It was a LONG day, but quite enjoyable (and productive, even!)  DH installed new kitchen lights.  DS1 and I helped declutter the overstocked pantry, as outdated food stuff is not exactly edible.

MONDAY - A celebration of my own.  My client from NY got her quilt in today's mail.  She LOVES it and proclaimed that it was well worth the wait!!  :o))

TUESDAY - Monthly evening Quilt Bee (in its NEW location at the Passmore Center.)  The new facility may be free of stairs, but the layout space may be a bit limited.  We'll have to wait and see how that pans out.

WEDNESDAY - Grocery shopping for DS2's train trip and then I remembered that it is the 1st day of a new month.

You KNOW what that means, right?!?!

Angela released the August Color of the Month:

Let's all do a Happy Dance!!!  :o))

THURSDAY - Goodbye, DS2!!  I'll miss your daily hugs.  Enjoy your vacation!  He got up bright and early to catch a northbound train.  (Please be safe, Amtrak!!  There's precious cargo aboard.)

FRIDAY - Today was the quarterly APQS Owner's Group meeting at Thread Waggle Quilting.  I missed the last two meetings and I am SEW happy to have been able to attend this time.  (Better still, I was able to go have dinner at DS1's new (first ever!) apartment and all I had to do was bring dessert.  Thank you, Cheesecake Factory...  It was delish!!)

SATURDAY - It's LINK PARTY day over at Angela's So Scrappy blog!  Go see who the overachievers are.  You will recognize them by all of the ORANGE sewing they have already done this week.

Sure wish I was one of THEM!!!  Instead, I have to be happy that I managed to snap a picture of the ORANGE scraps that I have on hand and available for my projects:

A gallon baggie stuffed to the brim...

... And my ORANGE scrap "basket" should keep me busy:

If I can find time to even dig through them.  I've got a wedding quilt to make this month.  No pressure, the wedding is still four weeks away.  PLENTY of time to make a quilt from start to finish!!

Gulp!  Please pass the paper bag.  I'm beginning to hyperventilate.

Until next time...
Get Scrappy!!!

  2. Do wedding present always have to be on the wedding day? Just asking. Just think of this month color and you will get the necessary energy to make the wedding quilt. Enjoy! ;^)
