Scraphappy Saturday - RSC17 - Week 10

Welcome to Week 10 of the Rainbow Scrap Challenge!!  As we found out late last week, March's Color of the Month is RED. Angela assured us that this was due to a random crayon box drawing.

SUNDAY - I posted my Sew Some Love entry for the week. I also the blue-er of my two Scrap Jar Stars (leftover from February) for the Rainbow Scrap Challenge:

MONDAY - Finally!!  A return to "normal."  Knit Group on the regularly scheduled day.  It was great to see everyone, again!  Afterwards, I assessed the RED situation in my scrap baskets:

The RED basket is overflowing!  We'll see how far that takes me.

TUESDAY - It was a stay-at-home day for me.  Did I get any sewing time???  Well... Just a little  tiny bit!

I sewed the patch on my Police quilt:

And stitched down the oath:

Other random sewing tasks were followed by dinner with DS1, then remembered that I had a meeting to attend in Chapel Hill in an hour.  Oops!!  That turned out well because I was able to swing by DS2's dorm to drop off a treat and talk with him for a while afterwards.

WEDNESDAY - Another stay-at-home day.  How did that work out??  I link-up with Kat for Sew Some Love and dug out my RED scrap BAG to add to the basket bits:

The rotary cutter got a workout:

It's surprising how much time that took.  Especially, since I wanted blocks with few repeating prints!

THURSDAY - Spent the day with a friend. Caught a few minute of sewing time before dinner.  Midway through the "repair" on my Scrap Jar Star from last month...

And it's all fixed:

After dinner with DS2, which included a(nother) trip to Chapel Hill to get him for Spring Break, I was able to get the components lined up for the center of not one...

... but TWO Scrap Jar Stars in RED:

FRIDAY - Another day spent with a friend.  At least, the afternoon was my own!  What did I do??  Why, made one of those RED Scrap Jar Star blocks, of course...

... And set up to sew the 2nd one:

SATURDAY - It's LINK PARTY day!!  But first...

That 2nd RED Scrap Jar Star was waiting for assembly:

Now, I'm off to see what the other RSC Quilters have been up to this week.  Care to join me?  Let's GO!!!

Later, I'll be working on Angela's Star Blocks for my version of her RSC15 quilt.  As a reminder, I'm using my Slab Blocks from 2015 and 2016 for the centers.  I've got the star points cut out:

Next, I'll need to track down some background fabrics.

Until next time...
Get Scrappy!!!
