ScrapHappy Saturday - RSC16 - Week 49

Welcome to Week 49 of the Rainbow Scrap Challenge!!  I've been lax about spending time in the studio lately.  Will this week be any different??

Let's find out:

SUNDAY - I saw an interesting quilt-related article on my Google news feed.  Go to benvenom.com for a look at "quilting on the fringe."  The web site shares some unique quilts made by an interesting quilter.

MONDAY - Knit Group was on the agenda, as well as Mystery Monday Link-up (for the Bonnie Hunter Quilt Mystery.)  There wasn't much to post, but I added my LINK (of intent to participate.)

TUESDAY - Off to the coffee shop in town.  Yes, I realize that I was at a coffee shop yesterday.  This was different!  A friend, who borrowed some quilt books a number of years ago, found them and is no longer quilting.  I'm happy to have the books back, as THIS one was a gift from my father.  Thanks, MM, for returning them!!

WEDNESDAY - Today, I cut the interfacing for my next T-Quilt.  Hooray!!!  Something quilt related... even if it was NOT done in my sewing room.

THURSDAY - My weekly Quilt Group occupied the morning hours.  The afternoon was reserved taking the next step on my T-Quilt.  I'm pleased to report that I fused nearly half of the shirts!!

FRIDAY - Errand day.  Knitting and lunch with a friend, followed by Christmas shopping.  When I returned home I had work to do on the computer.  Once my work was done, I went upstairs to check the status of my fabric stash... Bonnie's Mystery Quilt is waiting!! She released Clue 2 this morning.

SUCCESS!!!  Not only did I choose fabrics for the Mystery, I also made the components for my Hot and Cold Corners block for this month's Covered in Love Block Drive:

Look at me... USING some SCRAPS for the RSC!!!  :o))

Sorry!!  You'll have to wait for Monday's Quiltville Link-up to see my mysterious Mystery selections.  :P

SATURDAY - Angela's LINK PARTY for the Rainbow Scrap Challenge was the first item of business for the day.  (While I didn't work on my RSC projects this week, they are never far from my thoughts.)  The afternoon will be spent visiting with one of our nephews and the evening hours will be occupied with the sounds of The UNC Jazz Band.

Until next time...
Get Scrappy!!!

  6. Glad to see another who helps Kat out (I haven't yet, but I do help in other charities) but my good friend Judy of Quilt Paradigm has just finished two and they are both, but especially one GORGEOUSLY quilted. Like your hot and cold corners-intriguing!
