ScrapHappy Saturday - RSC26 - Week 22

Welcome to Week 22 of the 2026 Rainbow Scrap Challenge!!  This week is going to be another full one.  Errands, classes, and meetings are scheduled.  The question remains...  Will there be time remaining for ORANGE scrap sewing???

Only time will tell, but here is how my days passed...

SUNDAY -
During Weekly Morning Art Zoom
, I worked on my OUTSIDE page for Messy May by selecting ransom note letters to spell out the prompt name:

In neighborhood news...

I went for a quick walk before dinner this evening.  What did I spy?  The final house has a SOLD sign out front!  I suppose that means more new neighbors will be moving in soon:

MONDAY - Memorial Day Holiday

Watercolor class with Crystal Tan:

Here is my version of the inspiration painting, an Iris from my old garden:

Library Crawl at Get Messy today began with today's NESTING prompt video

This is the resulting journal page made by layering a variety of fabric scraps onto the page:

When that was done, I switched over to my Weekly Zoom Call with LeeAnna @ Not Afraid of Color:

TUESDAY - Tidy Up Tuesday

Reported the final week of my 100 Day Project decluttering.  When I arrived at Tuesday Explorers on Get Messy, I found no one there even though I was running just a little late. No worries!  I found other tasks to keep me occupied before leaving for Monthly Evening Quilt Bee.  Sorry!  No photos of the 8 members in attendance.

This quilt was hanging just outside the meeting room doors as part of this season's community art show:

WEDNESDAY QFK Kit Cutting Day

I missed Midweek Meetup, in favor of attending a productive Guild-sponsored charity event.  Britt (and a few other Bee members) participated...

The overflowing fabric table was reduced to this:

Our hostess served lunch and had a little something special...

For me to take home:

A brief stop at the store was followed by a bit of ORANGE scrap sewing of undetermined outcome... Meaning that we'll have to see what it wants to be when it grows up:

THURSDAY - Weekly Quilt Group met at Deborah's today, but I took no photos.

After the meeting, Britt and I enjoyed an ARTventure.  Today we were determined to do some catching up on our Messy May journals, which worked out really well since I accidentally left my Ledger Journal at home.  Whoops!  Here's what we did instead:

You've seen my nesting page, but now it has a bird in the nest.  Thanks, Britt!

FRIDAY - Knit Group

Beth gave the keynote address to local graduates working in the community.  As such, she presented her speech in full regalia and put it on for us to see:

When it was time to leave, I grabbed a bite to eat before Get Messy's Friday Friends Open Studio.  Today I focused on the REVERDIE prompt for Messy May:

After dinner, I headed back upstairs to visit with my Weekly Evening Art Zoom friends.  I completed my STORY page...

And started on the REMNANT prompt with just Britt and I continuing to work:

I completed my page with a snippet strip on the left and fabric scraps on the right:

SATURDAY - It's LINK PARTY day for the Rainbow Scrap Challenge!  I hope you have a chance to visit Angela @ So Scrappy to see what the RSC Quilters have been up to this week.

To answer the question at the beginning of this post...

YES!!

I actually did sew this (unfinished) ORANGE scrappiness this week:

Yay, me!!!

Just in time for Angela's announcement for the June Color of the Month:
