The 100 Day Project 2026 - #100Days100ThingsDecluttered - The Review

Welcome to the latest edition of Tidy Up Tuesday!!  This is the final post in The 100 Day Project for 2026.  I started this year's edition of The 100 Day Project on February 22nd.  I'm pleased that I committed to it again this year.  It's particularly popular on Instagram.  I was initially hesitant to participate, but after two seasons of the event, I looked forward to another chance to lighten the load in my home and studio.  If you've been following along, you might be aware that I released weekly updates as a record of my progress and for those of you who were interested in seeing what goes out the door.

What was your project, again, Joyful???

I signed up with a different idea in mind than most.  Most artists make a plan to create 100 of something.  That didn't work for me.  You can read about my project HERE.  That link will tell you all about my plan.

The gist of my focus...

Decluttering my home and studio in an effort to free up space for MORE creativity.  I have worked diligently toward that goal.

Here are my Weekly Project Totals:

Week 1: 16/100
Week 2: 19/100
Week 3: 9/100
Week 4: 10/100

Updated Project Total: 54/100

Week 5:  0/100
Week 6:  10/100
Week 7:  5/100
Week 8:  32/100

Updated Project Total:  101/100

Week 9:    26/100
Week 10:  27/100
Week 11:  5/100
Week 12:  159/100

Updated Project Total:  318/100

Week 13:  13/100

After checking and rechecking the numbers the Final Project Total: 331/100!!!

While I wasn't able to beat last year's total, I'm still glad that I gave the challenge another try.  The trunk of my car was loaded several times over the last 13 weeks, the contents delivered to one of the local donation centers, the recycling center or the trash, but now the box is empty and ready for next year's event:


Thank you to those of you who encouraged me in my decluttering efforts throughout the past 13 weeks!  My heart was filled with gratitude upon reading your kind comments and I truly appreciated your willingness to continue cheering me along.  Additionally, I absolutely LOVE the fact that a number of you even joined this decluttering journey with me!!

    Excellent work decluttering! After being involved in a house clean out, I am now determined to go room by room and be more severe with my culling.

    Congratulations! Every bit helps, clearing clutter and sending out into the world for its next life. I am making progress and I am grateful for that. It is slow as a staging area is needed.
