Welcome to Week 13 of the 2026 edition of #100Days100ThingsDecluttered mini-series here at The Joyful Quilter!! As you may know, I've been participating in The 100 Day Project again this year. It's particularly popular on Instagram. I was originally hesitant to participate, but I've made good progress these last two years. I have released weekly updates on Tidy Up Tuesday for those who might be interested in seeing what gets decluttered.
What did you say your project was, again, Joyful???
I signed up with a different idea in mind than most. You can read about it HERE. That link will tell you all about my project.
The gist of my focus...
Lightening the load in my home and studio in an effort to free up space for MORE creativity.
The quest has been completed...
And as I approached the end of the project, and my updated goal of 200 items out the door was smashed last week, I pushed to declutter even more items from my home and studio, before time ran out. This was the FINAL week of the challenge. There is still SEW much more that can go! Did I hit the 400 mark?
Take a look at my progress for Week Thirteen:
I thought I might have another BIG burst of energy this week. Alas, that didn't happen! I only managed to sort through our auxiliary closet and small section of the garage.
These items left the house during Week 13...
4 small toys
1 store bought quilt
2 pillows
1 daybed cover
1 mattress cover
4 bags of trash (left in DH's van for too many weeks to confess)
Week 13 Total: 13/100
Updated 100 Day Project Total for Week 13: 333/100
and the items too large for the box...
Thank you to those of you who have taken the time to encourage me in my decluttering efforts as I worked my way through this challenge! I appreciate those of you who have joined me in my quest. We've gotten rid of quite a bit of excess.
Kathleen @ Kathleen McMusing commented the following after Week 12's post:
Great progress indeed! I joined you by bringing 3 bags of scraps to a friend who wanted them....and more will be heading her way in June! Hooray for renewing our spaces, recycling and reusing!
Here was my response:
Thank you for joining in the decluttering effort, Kathleen! Misery loves company. :P
