TidyUp Tuesday - The 100 Day Project - Week 10

Welcome to Week 10 of the 2026 edition of #100Days100ThingsDecluttered mini-series here at The Joyful Quilter!!  I'm participating in The 100 Day Project again this year.  It's particularly popular on Instagram.  I was originally hesitant to participate, but I've made good progress these last two years.  I'm releasing weekly updates on Tidy Up Tuesday for those who might be interested in seeing what goes out the door.

What did you say your project was, again, Joyful???

I signed up with a different idea in mind than most.  You can read about it HERE.  That link will tell you all about my project.

The gist of my focus...

Decluttering my home and studio in an effort to free up space for MORE creativity.

The quest continues...

Even though I hit my goal of 100 items out the door, I will continue to declutter my home and studio for the entirety of the 100 Day Project.  I still need to free up MORE space for more creativity.  Stay with me as I aim for the 200 mark!

Here's my progress for Week Ten:

This week was slow going, as I headed off to and returned from recharging in the mountains.

I managed to get the following items out of the house...

1 bin of recycling from DH's shop
2 quilting rulers
1 dresser scarf
3 cuts of fabric
1 quilt pattern
2 product pkgs (saved for some unknown reason)
1 dress
1 t-shirt
1 pr leggings
1 sweater
8 pr chopsticks
1 kitchen knife (new in pkg)
1 pkg of plastic forks (we don't entertain enough to keep so many extras)
2 cardboard boxes
1 decorative wreath (trashed due to damage)

Week 10 Total: 26/100

Updated 100 Day Project Total for Week 10:  155/100

Thank you to those of you who take the time to encourage me in my decluttering efforts as I continue this challenge!  I appreciate those of you who have joined me in my quest.

Diann @ Little Penguin Quilts commented the following after Week 9's post:

24 yards of fabric - wow! Someone will think it's a treasure. We are decluttering our old electronics this week because there is an e-waste collection going on here on Thursday. We have quite a pile ready to go - old phones, laptops, VCRs, and more!

My response:

Nice work on the e-waste, Diann! About the fabric I gave away, treasure is exactly the word that my friend used when I gave her that bag of yardage.  :o))

There was also this from Cherie @ See More Quilts:

Stuff shuffling! That made me laugh out loud because I do shuffle stuff! In the case of the shirts, I think I need to let them leave the house.

I replied with the following:

As I told Terry @ Ongoing Projects, I'm ready for a really BIG purge to boost my numbers. It probably won't be this week, but I'll definitely keep plugging along.
