ScrapHappy Saturday - RSC22 - Week 45

Welcome to Week 45 of the Rainbow Scrap Challenge!!  This week began with the baking of a Cinnamon Pie:

Thank you, Megan!  Your pie event during September was awe inspiring.
The rave reviews for this pie prompted me to give it a try, sans powdered sugar on top.
Note, it's BROWN in honor of November's (unofficial) RSC Color of the Month!  :o))

SUNDAY - Friends.  Thankfully, Maggie had more of the fabric she used in making one of our 2021 Block Drive quilts (many of them sample blocks made by Preeti while working on the Positivity QAL.)  It was just the right fabric for the binding...

Thanks, Mags!

Which I finished late this afternoon:

Sue had sent me on a errand for her (the store is near my house) and today was delivery day:

Helena and I met at Britt's house to hang out for a while:

Thanks for the bagels, H, and lunch was delicious, B!

Britt shared some collage papers with me and Helena brought me a cool new shirt:

MONDAY - Early morning art-ing, where I deconstructed a paper bag...

Was followed by work and Wordle...

And the Quordle game that BEAT ME without my brain even knowing it:

Seriously!!  I was so excited that I figured out the final word (which I often do analog) only to look up and find that I'd already run out of attempts to solve the puzzle.  :o((

TUESDAY - Tidy-Up Tuesday

Another day of work and Wordle....

Along with Quordle.  The one where I "birdied" by winning in 7 guesses:

And after dinner, I finally remembered to get a close-up picture of the mini quilt that I finished over the weekend:

WEDNESDAY - It was a Wonderful Wednesday, but no post (about today!)

Errands and lunch with my friend Hilary was followed by...

A couple more errands and my first haircut in a year and a half:

Thanks for fitting me in on short notice when I could no longer stand all that hair for another minute (and working late in order to get me in this week) Jackie:

64 West Salon, Pittsboro, NC

Unfortunately, that meant that my weekly Zoom with LeeAnna @ Not Afraid of Color needed to be postponed until tomorrow afternoon.

THURSDAY - Work, alas, this day was sans Wordle.  I was busy typing my fingers to the bone on a corporate gift order.  There was barely even time to eat lunch!

After work, I raced home to Zoom with LeeAnna @ Not Afraid of Color:

Thanks for being flexible when I needed to reschedule yesterday, LeeAnna!  My hair was driving me out of my mind and there was NO WAY that I could wait two weeks for an appointment!!!

After dinner, I played with paper for a little while.  Choosing and trimming:

This is my new mini flow journal.  More photos when its completely assembled.

FRIDAY - Knit Group canceled due to the rain storm (accompanied by a tornado watch.)  Not much can stop me when I have a plan in place, though.  Not even a tornado warning in the vicinity of where I came from AND where I was going to meet my friend Tracy:

Fortunately, the weather cleared and no tornado touched down anywhere near the coffee shop, but the phone alert as I was driving down the interstate was quite a shock.

SATURDAY - It's LINK PARTY day for the Rainbow Scrap Challenge!  I hope you will join me in visiting Angela @ So Scrappy to see what the RSC Quilters have been up to this week.

I'm starting my weekend with a Zoom call to Knittingsuek...

And then I'll be playing in my Dark NEUTRAL scraps.  I didn't have enough energy to do much after work this week.  The time change really did a number on my schedule.  I was ready to go to bed by 9 PM every night this week, but was also up before the sun.  :o((

Until next time...
Get SCRAPPY!!!

  14. So is cinnamon pie a custard pie with a heavy dose of cinnamon? Clearly, I'm not the only one who's curious. Nice haircut.

  17. Beautiful hair cut. I started cutting my own hair when I couldn’t stand the length. My husband just touches it up in the back. But it would be nice to go to a salon. Love the orange around the mini quilt and the positivity quilt looks great too.
