It's sewing time!!! Hooray!!!
SUNDAY - I did a bit of sewing and a bit of cutting. Here's a preview of the result:
You can read more about this project in this week's Tutorial Tuesday post. (A new series of posts prompted by my current love of the fabulous quilt-alongs offered out in BlogLand.)
MONDAY - I was happy to attend Knit Group (since I thought I might miss it because of vacation.) I also delivered a quilt. You can read more about that in Wednesday's entry.
TUESDAY - Quilting with Needleb... at least, that was the plan! It was a good day and I rethought my plan for the June quilt QAL. Oops, Amanda Jean!! I wonder if it's contagious???
WEDNESDAY - Sew...
Remember last week when I showed the quilt on the frame and lost at "thread chicken?" No worries!! I popped in a fresh bobbin and I finished the quilting... just in time for bed:
See the full details HERE, in this week's Wonderful Wednesday post. I'm SEW excited to have completed a Rainbow Scrap Challenge project!!!
I found a NEW project while blog hopping this afternoon. Have YOU heard about the Rainbow Picnic Sew-Along? I thought the RSC Quilters might be interested. Follow THIS link to find out more about the event.
THURSDAY - I was SEW pleased to get to my weekly Quilt Group (that I've been missing for months!) It was great to see everyone. I finally got a good shot of the skirt I made:
Rachel at Stitched in Color released the Rainbow Picnic Sew-Along. I spent some time this afternoon choosing fabrics.
FRIDAY - Oops! My stay-cation was interrupted by obligation. I took myself off to help a friend. Fortunately, it was an early day and I was back at my sewing machine before I knew it. :o))
Good new!! This morning, Kevin the Quilter released the 1st clue of the Sapphire Star Mystery.
News flash!! He even gave TWO options for the sewing.
Thanks, Kevin!
Which is PERFECT, considering BOTH of the mystery quilts call for BLUE (if using the hosts color scheme.) Thanks, Angela!!
Until next time...
Get Scrappy!!!
Sounds like a fun week at home sewing! I need one of those without kids and without working!
ReplyDeleteWell, maybe you did what you really wanted after all! Looks like time well spent to me. :D
ReplyDeleteThat rainbow picnic sew along is SO tempting. Glad the blue worked out for this month. Wish I could say that I planned it that way.
ReplyDeleteCongrats on completing the RSC quilt. There's a lot of squirrels around my place and I can seem to stay focus. Rainbow Picnic Sew-Along sounds like a lot of fun. Enjoy! ;^)
ReplyDeleteThanks for the link to the rainbow picnic sew along! I'm considering that one. I love your day by day sewing reports!
ReplyDeleteA sewing staycation - I like that idea! Have fun - send postcards!!
