ScrapHappy Saturday - RSC22 - Week 22

Welcome to Week 22 of the Rainbow Scrap Challenge!!  This week was an absolute blur.  If I check my photos, I might be able to reconstruct the order of events!  Then, I released this post before I was finished filling in the blanks.  Here's the completed version:

A lot happened after I released last Saturday's post...

I finished up my Messy May page for the Serenity prompt:

Made a delivery to another happy T-Quilt client:

ZoomLIVE with Knittingsuek:

Since Sue lives around the corner from Carol, I stopped by to pick up my next quilting project:

On the way home, I stopped at Candy's to relieve her of a bag of fabric scraps:

Once home, I sat down at the sewing machine:

This day was spent in the studio.  See the LINK above to find out what got done.

In the evening, I put together this "bonus" page:

MONDAYMy day was spent in the studio.  Happiness is a rainbow of craft paint...

... And a handful of rainbow colored paper scraps:

... And quilting in the afternoon:

More about this quilt next week!

TUESDAY - See this week's Tidy Up Tuesday post for my latest quilt finish.

Art-ing in the early morning...

I visited with these lovely quilters this evening and oh-SEW-many projects were shared:

WEDNESDAY - Wonderful Wednesday was the day I released my Tidy-Up Tuesday post.  Technical difficulties, don't you know?

It was a work day today, but I managed to fit in a game of Quordle.  Not only did I play, but I actually won for the first time ever:

This afternoon, I was pleased to be able to Zoom with LeeAnna @ Not Afraid of Color:

THURSDAY - Today was the day that I was faced with a BLANK PAGE for this post.  What?!  How did it get to be Thursday without my entering even a single photo or comment?  YIKES!!!  I spent most of the day working on this quilt:

During a break, I worked on this Peony mixed-media piece for the ICAD Challenge.  Tammy @ Daisy Yellow gives us a choice of 4 x 6" cards or smaller, but I didn't want to have 61 index cards floating around the studio, so I decided to draw in the "cards" that I would need.  I will either work right in the "journal" or work on a separate sheet of paper (Thanks for that idea, Britt!) and paste it in:

I'm having a lot of fun art-ing!  :o))

FRIDAY - Weekly Knit Group met today, but I've got that quilt on the longarm that I need to finish, as there's another one waiting.  A storm blew in last night and that meant I had to unplug the longarm.  Can't quilt?  It was time to paint.  The photo below shows what I did with the "under paper" and leftover paint:

Look, RSC Quilters!  The Color of the Month is represented there.  :o))

SATURDAY - It's LINK PARTY day for the Rainbow Scrap Challenge!  I hope you will join me in visiting Angela @ So Scrappy to see what the RSC Quilters have been up to this week.  I'll be digging into my Bright/Dark BLUE Quilted Scrap Basket:

Until next time...

  2. The 3-D flying geese have me totally intrigued. I can't wait to see what they are a part of.

  3. I love Quordle - play it every day! Sometimes I get all 4 words and sometimes I don't. It looks like you had a lot of fun with your Messy May project! Looking forward to seeing what you're working on with those triangles, too.

  4. You are enjoying Art Journaling way too much. I think your quilting is jealous. Haha. Lovely pages. Enjoy the blues. ;^)

  5. Lots of quilt-y doin's at your house, and other's houses. :-) It's apparent you're enjoying what you make time to do. Have fun with June's RSC. Now I know why I can't participate in it... very few blues in my stash, let alone my scraps. I'll enjoy watching what everyone else makes.

  6. I play Quordle every day and get all 4 words about 50% of the time. We had my husband's memorial service on Friday. Everything went well and it's a relief to have it over. Now I need to get things planted outside and get ready for a 4 day quilt retreat for which I have not prepared.

  10. Quite a busy week! Your journal pages look simply amazing. Really like the Monday one. Didn't know you are participating in the icad too. If I were to participate again, I would do what you are doing - either paint directly in the journal or attach them into a journal, so they are not floating around everywhere. I look forward to seeing more and of course more of your quilts as well.
