This is what Carla had to say...
The Challege:
This hop doesn't require stitching, it's all about your stitching plan for the new year. Let's share new ideas and inspiration. All you have to do is finish this statement in a blog post:
My stitching resolution for 2021 is _____________________________.
I bit... I don't normally partake in resolution making. In my experience, it tends to be a recipe for failure. Perhaps, this year will be different! One can hope different in this case means better. Here is a list of participating bloggers:

My goals for 2021 are as follows:
1 Start a Table Runner Challenge Link-Up (even if it's low-tech!)
2 Finish up LWR Quilt Drive
3 Sew a bunch of scraps
4 Finish (at least) 4 UFOs this year
5 Limit fabric purchases
Looking at the list I've shared, I think these resolutions are manageable. The most challenging of the bunch is going to be starting the Table Runner Challenge Link-Up. If YOU are interested in the Challenge, visit this LINK for details.
What about the PRIZE, Joyful???
If you're asking that question, you've probably visited during a previous blog hop. Welcome back! If you are wondering what on Earth I'm babbling about, you are in for a treat. With each Blog Hop comes a prize offering here at The Joyful Quilter. What better giveaway for the Stitching Resolution Blog Hop than a scrappy little Palm-Sized Pin Cushion:
How do I enter to win, Joyful???
Leave a comment with stating what color pin cushion you would like to win. A comment name/number will be chosen at random and I will contact the winner by email. I will mail this red pin cushion or make another Palm-Sized Pin Cushion in the color of your choice.
All entries must be received by
9 PM
on New Year's Day!!

Hi great Resolutions and so far the Quilters I have visited, including me, have busting scraps on them!! We are all obviously the same, lol. Thank you for the Giveaway that red pincushion is so cute and I just love red. Have a wonderful 2021. Hugs & Love, Susie xx
ReplyDeleteYeah for the Table Runner Challenge!! Great resolutions, manageable as you said, maybe the most important, no pressure ;) Love the red pincushion, so cute!
ReplyDeleteLooks like reachable goals! I know you will be successful with those goals this year. The red is pretty. I have a few ideas for the first pink runner.....
ReplyDeleteYour resolutions are manageable. Using up scraps is something I am going to try and do this year.
ReplyDeleteIt sounds like you are planning a productive year!
ReplyDeleteSounds like an exciting year!
ReplyDeleteLooking forward to the table topper challenge.
I think your resolutions are very doable! I will join you in using up a bunch of scraps for lots of tablerunners. That sounds like fun to me!
ReplyDeleteYour Table Scrap challenge sounds excellent. You need a sidebar button so everyone can have a visual and a chance to check it out. I would love to put it on the Pinterest page. Just a thought. I love your last goal, "LIMIT" fabric purchases. It doesn't cut you off from new fabric purchases, it just makes you "think" about it. Happy New Year!
ReplyDeleteAlmost forgot, I like the RED pincushion a lot!!!!
DeleteGreat goals! I love the color blue! Thanks so much!
ReplyDeleteI LOVE your goals, particularly #3 - Sew a bunch of scraps :-D I am rolling on the floor laughing. You can achieve that goal while writing a blogpost :-p Also love #5 - Limit fabric purchases. Define limit :-D No matter what you buy or how much it is not limitless :-D
ReplyDeleteThis was utterly JOYFUL to read!!! I have pink on my mind since Angela announced the RSC color for January 2021. Happy New Year 2021!!!
Oh! That's a great idea, Joy! It will be fun to see all the runners each month. Wishing a great year and healthy on top of that! Hugs! ;^)
ReplyDeleteLove the idea of a table runner challenge. Happy sewing for 2021.
ReplyDeleteSo many of us are working on UFOs. Looking forward to the table runner challenge.
ReplyDeleteSounds like a great list that should be doable. You can do it! I'm not sure I can do my goals, but I'm rooting for you! LOL Your table runner challenge sounds like a good way to involve people in something that is not overwhelming. Have a very Happy New Year, Joy!
ReplyDeleteGood list. I worked on a lot of UFOs but I also decided if I finished 2 I could start a new one. I also keep track of what I am working on, and where I am at in the process.
ReplyDeleteSounds like a great plan. Good luck.
ReplyDeleteYour resolutions for 2021 seem very do-able!
ReplyDeleteHappy Quilting! :-)
That red pin cushion looks just fine to me.
ReplyDeleteI love your more realistic goal of finishing just 4 UFO's. That makes it sound so much more doable. Love your table runner challenge too! Happy New Year
ReplyDeleteI think your list of resolutions is totally doable! I’ll be cheering you on. Love the idea of a runner linkup. Your red pin cushion is sweet! I seem to be hooked on red right now. It really catches my eye. 😉 Carol
ReplyDeleteThose resolutions are very doable and so I look forward to reading about your successful completion of them. Little pin cushions are always useful and I'd love red if I win.
ReplyDeleteGood luck with your resolutions.
ReplyDeleteThat's a reasonable list for 2021. Wishing you lots of productive sewing time in 2021.
ReplyDeleteWhile I'm late for the pincushion, I still wanted to hop by! It's been a busy few days for me! Thanks for sharing your resolutions! I think they are very doable and sewing a bunch of scraps sounds fun!! I'm looking forwards to your Table Scraps Challenge!! I need to get busy! LOL
ReplyDeleteLike you, resolutions are off the table. Instead there are themes.Last year was Scraps. This year is Finishing.
